Well yeah because we can always know when a kid will have a meltdown

Under a certain age it has zero to do with having control

Correct, don't know when it can happen. However you can get up from the resturant table or movie and take your screaming brat outside so they are not disturbing everyone else.

I agree with that. You and your child should not impede on someone else's enjoyment. Public breastfeeding does not do that.

Some of the views echoed in this thread contribute to a large percentage of mothers being reluctant to breastfeed their babies. Breastfeeding is the healthiest option for most newborns and infants, a source of maternal-baby bonding, completely natural, and the most cost-effective method for providing nutrition. Not only does stigmatizing the act have potential adverse effects on the health of our Nation's children and families, but it is also financially reckless. The WIC program, for example, spent $6.4 billion in 2013 providing nutritional supplementation.

I would ask some of you that neither have children nor spend your days caring for their health rethink your ideas on this matter. I can offer resources from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Le Leche League if they are desired.

I ate raw meat for breakfast everyday

What kind of meat? (I'm not a fan of raw of meat, unless it's sushi. :) ) BTW, we drove out to Kansas to see our son (my stepson, actually) when he arrived from his deployment in Africa. We got to spend the day together, then we had to drive back home the next day. We still talk about the guy at Fort Jackson who helped us get the address for our soldier. Thank you again Yankee.

KD I'm sure you're well-versed in this and am not disputing. Amazed that so many women would choose not to breastfeed because they are concerned with what people might think of them for doing it public. That's shocking to me.

And fwiw I have a hard time blaming extravagant gov. handouts on women worrying over this. Most on WIC that I know are worried about trading the cereal to the pawn shop for money for drugs

Bear meat. It was my pleasure :hi:

Unless your resources contain lots of pictures, I doubt they'll have an effect.

It's less shocking when you read through this thread.

Breastfeeding can be difficult, painful, and time-consuming. The last thing we need to do is make moms feel uncomfortable for choosing the best option.

Moms that think breast feeding is the best choice need to grow a backbone n **** what everyone else thinks.

And I'm not disputing the pain/difficulty/etc. but parenting is going to be full of situations where you have to say **** the rest I'm doing what I know is best for my child.

I agree, to an extent, but there are a lot of young, single, uneducated, and/or impressionable mothers that could use our help.

It's what they make pumps for. Pump it when your at home, give them a bottle in the store. I don't want to see some nasty titty whipped out in public and thrown into a baby's mouth. It's like asking yourself if it's cool to see someone popping a squat at a demo toliet at Lowe's.

^^^^^In the running for dumbassedest post in VN history.
