Brendan Downs to announce Friday

I thought he would have waited until Friday to commit with Crowder. Oh well I am definitely not complaining.

I will look in the recruiting forums to see more details on this young man, but I hope that this is good enough news to start to calm some of the guys that are about to jump off the nearest building because of their belief that Coach Dooley is somehow ruining UT from within.

Good recruiting news is especially welcome today! The "My Dad is a Classy Guy" thread nearly killed me today when I read it. I hope that this news helps to make that kind of stuff go away or at least become less frequent.

Let's hope this is the start of a big week recruiting wise. Looks like Coleman is supposed to make an announcement tommorow.

Thats what I like to hear, keeping the instate boys at home! This kid is big with wylie behind him this kid could be huge!! I like it!

Fellas, I wish I could tell ya more. I felt pretty sure about this one but we all are finding this out for sure at the same time. Brendan has kept this to himself very well and his folks had always said that it was his deal to make. I know his mom was hoping that he would stay with Duke.

Sunday, Mack's dad e-mailed me and said he was gonna' get with me after church but I was headin' out for the day and said I'd call him this week. I called him this morning while driving to work and then texted him later but he hasn't responded either time. That's unusual. They must be gettin' hammered on the phone. He said they were gettin' lots of calls before they posted Friday as the announce date.

I will say that I was a little bit worried about Brendan but I'm not worried about Mack. They want him to have the best chance of being a solid pro and that's UT.

Thanks so much for the inside stuff. This is going to be a great week. I believe we will hear more good news tomorrow and continue through Friday!! Keep the info coming. By the way, glad you go to church!:eek:k:
