Well, if you are one of the ones who doesn't care about the baggage (I do), Petrino and Butch Davis. I thinks Strong would be a better choice for UT due to SEC recruiting experience. I like David Shaw better as well, just as successful vs better competition with NFL coaching experience. I would choose BB over Gundy, but others would disagree. Fedora is arguable. The less realistic would be Petterson, Patterson and Gruden. I would take BB over Golden, but really not anymore excited about either one. But my question was, do you think BB was in Hart's top 5?

I will get slammed for this but if we are considering Charlie Strong at the rumored 3.75 million, just go hire Bobby Petrino for 2.5 million. He has recruited in the SEC and actually won some ball games in the SEC.

I am not sure our current defense is much worse than Petrino's best defense at Arkansas.

I think Bielema is a good coach but I am happy he wasn't on our list. The guy has had two recruiting classes ranked in the 80's and only one in the top 40 since he took over in 2006. Yeah he can coach them up and Wisconsin is probably slightly difficult to recruit to, but two 80th ranked classes aren't showing me a whole lot.

I think you may want to look again. Last year(2011) Arkansas was ranked 1 spot behind Tennessee in total defense. In 2010, they were ranked BETTER than Tennessee in total defense.

Obviously our defense this year at UT would be MUCH worse than Arkansas's the last few years.
