They interviewed Mike Hamilton at halftime and he said anyone that was responsible for the guns would be gone.Period.

Losing Tyler will hurt. Williams, not so much.

Losing Williams hurts unless Chism figures out a way to quit taking so many early fouls. What are we going to do for any kind of a post presence when Wayne picks up #3 with 9 minutes left in the first half?

NO, I think it will help them, actually.......cancer removed.....now the other guys know they have to step it up......it was weird, like they would all wait for Tyler to do something, but he couldn't bc/ his offense was not very good...... I think they will be better off without him.....
Absolutely agree. It reminds me of Peyton's senior year. All the players waited for Peyton to make a play and didn't step up on their own.

If you think losing Tyler Smith won't hurt this team then you are a window licker...

With Wayne on the perimeter as much as he is trolling the block, Tyler is our best post option. He is also an above average defender who hustles everytime he's on the court.

I think a lot of people are just making statements because they are pissed at him for being an idiot, but I will also admit he hasn't been the same player this year that he was the past two years. Even still, he's the most hard-nosed player on this team and losing him is going to kill us.

I don't see us making the NCAA tourney this year.

If Bruce gets us there after this mess, he deserves SEC COY imo.

Easy. Put in Hall where we had been putting in Williams. Hall at least appears to have talent.

6'8" is a post presence? He ain't Charles Barkley.

Although Pearl's teams don't seem to exactly care about doing much down low, so maybe it's a moot point after all.

I'm not going to cry too much over losing Williams.

As for Smith, man what a waste.

FWIW Just heard from someone at the game and very close to the program that Tyler and Brian are gone and Melvin and Cameron will be back.

Hell yea, we are a better team without Tyler Smith. We are more disciplined. I am glad Tatum is going to stay.

One gun did belong to Tyler. However, the 2nd one belongs to another person and he was not a passenger.

Losing Tyler won't be as bad as it sounds. Tyler didn't take us anywhere last year. Its time to let the next player step up, and I'm not talking about Hopson. He's had his chances too.

Is the second gun the one that Smith and Williams were charged with, or is it the one Goins and Tatum were charged with? If the one that doesn't belong to Smith was the one Goins and Tatum were charged with, won't the charges still stand?

JMO.......but losing Williams will hurt bc/ we only have 2 real big guys, so it hurts with depth, and rebounding/ physical presence a little bit......

Just wondering. Did you watch the game tonight? Cause if you did and you still don't believe we have another big man, then you need some glasses. His name is Hall and he played great tonight! Sure he had a few defensive breakdowns, but he was a force in the paint!

Chism played well tonight. He is stepping up and is going to be the leader of this team now, as he should have been all along. Only took two outside shoots tonight and was 1 for 2. The rest of his 18 came from the paint or the foul line.

I think we won't miss Taylor that much. He was having a poor season. He couldn't shoot. Three pointers are really beyond his skill. Sadly, I think he should have gone on to the NBA his Sophomore year.

Pearl is doing a great job. He got us back on track after Buzz ball and brought this program back to where is used to be. And it's still going up.

I look at my two young boys and dream that they might have the God given talent to play for the Vols someday. I can not imagine getting the phone call that they might be this stupid and toss a free ride out the window. there are just a couple of things these guys need to learn:
1. Dont burn weed in a car ( you are just asking for it)
2. If drinking or burning weed, obey all traffic laws.
3. If you have guns and weed together the charges multiply fast. Can't do anything about the guns but eat the WEED!:p

I kid, trying to make the best of a bad situation.

The S&W under the driver's seat belongs to Smith. The Taurus (altered serial #) under the passenger seat belongs to Tatum. Information acknowledged by UT personnel. It's certain the Feds will be interested in the owner of the Taurus and I hope the owner faces federal felony charges. Who knows what gun charges the other 2 may face.
