Just saying, I don't think anyone is going to confuse Lee Humphrey with Rajon Rondo, Eric Ferguson, or Tasmin Mitchell as a defender.(rwemyss @ Mar 1 said:That doesn't mean that he wasn't stuck to Lofton like glue that night. I saw Chris make a shot with Hump literally humping him.
(West Columbia Gamecock @ Mar 1 said:Shoot, WE are ready to move to the Southern Conference as a TEAM in basketball! He said at the beginning of the season, "I have a good feeling about this team." When I heard that, it translated to NIT return trip. We may not even make that, which would be good. I'm ready for this season to be OVER!

I think teams have figured out that our press is vulnerable to throwing over the top.

I'm not going to let it ruin my thoughts on this team either. Most exciting Vols team I've seen since I've been here, that includes all sports.(LadyinOrange @ Mar 1 said:Well, I'm not going to expect our players to hang their heads over a two point loss to a veteran coach after the way they have made this season so magical.

I hope you are right... It does seem that they only played like they REALLY WANTED one of these last 4... the UF game. Then again, UF is losing more than we are here at the end!(oklavol @ Mar 2 said:Can we all agree on this, without Bruce Pearl, there's no post season, and probably were looking at finishing last or next to last in the SEC.
The season starts over in 2 weeks. It hurts UT's seeding in the NCAA tournament, but UT is still a lock.
I think these tight games and losses are making UT a better team overall. If anything Major is starting to play better and hopefully the sting of losing will push the rest of the team to raise their level of play before the NCAA tournament starts.
The other factor here is, all these teams are playing just to get into the NCAA tournament and off the bubble. In a couple of weeks UT will be playing with the same abandonment, knowing everything is on the line.
