Gee, it looks like my three year flameout prediction was almost pefect. If I could get Hamilton to hold off on firing the broken, bloated liar for a little while, I'd have it to the day.

No, it's not. I've never said I thought KO was better than Pearl, but your incessant bashing of a guy who is essentially responsible for an extremely successful run in Tennessee's history is just stupid. He has my respect for what he got done at Tennessee. I would actually bet that he would have gotten us to the Final Four had he stayed and coached the guys he recruited. Also, I watched him thoroughly outcoach Pearl twice with far inferior talent. Therefore, he has my respect. As does Pearl, from a coaching standpoint.

Clearly you knew exactly what was going to happen. He would be fired one year removed from the elite 8 due to lying about a minor NCAA infraction. Exactly as you said.

Yes clearly he's priming USC for a final 4 run. He would only have to triple his lifetime NCAA tourney wins to get there.

He was not responsible for something that happened when he left. That's not how it works.

Oh, you're right. It wasn't the talent; all the credit goes to Green because he's such a phenomenal coach. You people are pathetic. This is what makes a somewhat sad day better is to see the morons on here cry and ***** about O'Neill, who left Tennessee with a significantly more stacked roster than Prince Bruce is going to.

How am I crying about O'Neill? I don't understand the love for a career loser who turned his back on our school and the hate for the most successful coach in UT history.

I think you're putting way too much stock into the "leaving the cupboards bare" argument. It is a much less significant factor in basketball as compared to football. It shouldn't take a good coach more than 2 years to turn a team into a winner.

O'Neill couldn't beat VCU when it mattered. We'll see what "tanning bed" does with his team during this tournament......

I foresee better results.

I don't. This team has had enough trouble working through the controversy of the program BEFORE hearing that their coach is getting canned. I don't see this news helping anything.

Not in O'Neill's case. He took over a program that was absolutely in the dumpster and recruited exceptionally well. That should be commended. That's all I'm saying. When all of this over with Pearl, everyone, including me, will look back with respect at what he got done here. The problem is, he's totally beyond reproach with the idiots on here. The only way is to absolutely despise O'Neill and worship at the altar of Pearl.

i miss murdering the likes of east dakota state school for trannys. it was more impressive than pearl's 'play anyone, anywhere' philosophy for sure!

Yeah, I'm sure hatvol will look back with respect at what he got done. He's not beyond reproach. His own idiotic decision ruined it for everyone.

I don't despise O'Neill. He's just not any good. 14 years of NCAA coaching history back that up. The crazy part is that the haters absolutely crush Bruce and prop up O'Neill.

Yea, I miss kicking Syracuse's ass in the Carrier Dome too. I also miss playing Auburn when they were ranked #4 in the country or playing Alabama when they were in the top 10.

Also, since you obviously have absolutely no clue, Green went to 4 consecutive 'AAs with O'Neill's players.

Of course Hat will. He respects what Pearl has accomplished and has said so numerous times. He doesn't respect him as a person; and after what Pearl has done, it's hard to imagine why anybody would.
