Bruce Pearl is a better basketball coach than Kevin O'Neill

2. Because he is a career loser who you hold up as an excellent coach.

You are evaluating him incorrectly if you are looking only at his record without taking the circumstances he found at Tennessee and Northwestern into account. If you cannot understand that, we are at an impasse.

Exactly. His handing Pearl's ass to him twice with far inferior talent makes it obvious to me that he shouldn't even be coaching high school ball.

So what UT handed UF their butts a loss twice in nc year, does that make pearl better then Donovan. That argument is lame.

Find where I said KO is better than Pearl; then, maybe you'll have a point. Somehow, I doubt you'll find it.

I fully understand that he's coached 400 games and lost more than half.

Umm your previous post does or it is an ignorant one. Pearl losses to KO so he is not fit to coach college but yet UT is in the tourney :eek:lol:

Maybe being able to read above a 3rd grade level would help you realize that that's not even close to what I said.

I fully believe that the context argument holds no water over such a long period of time.

Exactly. Northwestern, UT, and USC were all in such solid shape when KO took over. That clearly makes context totally irrelevant.

But he has to be a ****ty coach because all of those ****ty teams hired him. Don't you know anything?

The fact that there are people who will argue for O'Neill is mind bottling. 205-207. If they make it to the sweet 16, he'll finally break that glass ceiling of .500 career record.

Lots of lulz to be had here.

He was 100-130 in his tenures at UT, NW, and now USC, three schools in the worst possible scenarios imaginable. He left UT in such a good position that even Jerry Green could make four straight tournaments and win an SEC title. He had USC in the tournament in his second year with a decimated roster. NW is, was, and will continue to be impossible, IMHO.

He was 105-77 in his seasons at Marquette and Arizona. There is also marked progress in his last three seasons in Milwaukee over his first two. He is a guy who has made not good teams into good teams wherever he has been with the exception of Northwestern, who may simply be doomed.

I already brought this up to him. It was dismissed "because you can't give him credit for things that happened when he wasn't there."

I don't see it mentioned, but KO messed around with a particular woman while he was up there, which was behind the scenes and a big part of his departure.
