He was 100-130 in his tenures at UT, NW, and now USC, three schools in the worst possible scenarios imaginable. He left UT in such a good position that even Jerry Green could make four straight tournaments and win an SEC title. He had USC in the tournament in his second year with a decimated roster. NW is, was, and will continue to be impossible, IMHO.
He was 105-77 in his seasons at Marquette and Arizona. There is also marked progress in his last three seasons in Milwaukee over his first two. He is a guy who has made not good teams into good teams wherever he has been with the exception of Northwestern, who may simply be doomed.
