Bryce Brown allegedly on campus at UT, allegedly leaving Kan St (merged)

I don't think it's fair to pile it on BB....how many of us could have been persuaded toward different paths by our parents or other "advisers" at that age? I just don't know enough about transfer rules to comment on the possibility that he ever plays for us (or another SEC team) at some point.

One thing for sure: the wasting of talent such as his is a sad, sad thing.

You ain't kidding man. Wasn't he the #1 RB coming out of high school or over all recruit? Don't remember....

Kansas City's NBC action news interviewed K-State's Bill Snyder tonight on the 10pm news. Snyder did not deny Bryce was gone. Seemed irritated about Bryce being brought up, but said "Bryce is going through some things and that we will try to help him through." Snyder is a different kind of guy but even he acted like he really had given up any hope on this kid being a factor.

What I hate most is when posters are like "HE should have been a man and told his dad to go away."

Like you as an 18 year old would have said that.

It's a terrible situation. I hope Bryce finds a college HE wants to go to and can get a good education, and play some football if he wants.

Which way you going here? Listen to daddy(which would have meant staying at k-state) or be a man and pick your own school(which it looks like he might finally be doing)? You're making contradictory statements. I have sympathy for him that his family made it hard for him, but if he wanted to be at UT, he should have told his dad he was staying. At some point, you have to be your own man. Some "kids" go against their parents wishes at 18 and enlist in the military. These young people are making life and death decisions. Hell, BB just needed to decide where HE wanted to go to college. I'm sorry, the more I think about it, the more I think he needed to sack up and be his own man. If he were unhappy at UT, I would get it, but by his own account, he loved it here and wanted to stay. I always tried to respect my dad, but even before I was 18, I fought to make my own choices. I never told him to go away, but I did tell him I needed to live MY life and choose my own way.

@AlexAndersonTSR

Just heard Bryce Brown could be looking into the educational exchange exception to transfer back to TN and be eligible immediately. LOL

Similar to what Brandon Willis did with UNC and UCLA apparently. Weird rule

Not that he is going to do it or TN would accept him just that he is looking into it.

A friend of mine texted this to me earlier. I have never heard of this guy , but he is a radio host in Knoxville. I don't live in Tennessee , so maybe some of you can tell me if this is a credible source or not. Personally , I'm not buying it.

Fun thread may have just gotten funerer

It's easy for us to judge and condemn kids' (sometimes bad) decisions online, but who among us didn't do some stupid things at that age? At the end of the day, BB had the size and skills out of high school that likely allowed him the opportunity to make an incredible living playing the game he loves. His path has led him astray, for sure, but I just can't root against him. My hope is that he "rights the ship" and does something positive with his God-given talent.

Makes ya chuckle a little.

The saddest part is that it doesn't. We've still never seen him get near his potential. If, by some miracle, he becomes a Vol again, we could see him flourish. It would be a welcome change to have a RB for whom everyone drools.

I just want a running game period. The drooling part can wait.

That's fine. But he's 18-19 year old and his dad is asking him home. It's going to be hard to say no, especially if they are close.

Brown back in Orange (with a coach that can make a running game work) would give us the most viable running game since Lewis
