It all depends on what players you have and what you (OC) feel they can execute..

Miles loves to run the football...If he has confidence in the QB he will open up the offense

Crowton has a nice offensive package...and philosophy.

Crowton has done a great job a give us a balance attack...almost 50/50 in the stats..run pass..

Brown can run and catch..and he can pound it (great size)..so you can use him all over the field... At least BB can see a track record with Crowton and LSU..the last 4 years..no lying in the tape

Some good points. Crowton definitely has experience running more open offenses. But, I would be surprised to see that much of a departure from what they've had success doing, especially with that line. I think it's going to be dive, dive, pass protection most of the time. Could be wrong.

Dude, you're outta your mind, or you haven't been paying any attention. Bryce has had several interviews since he made that statement and PP has had at least 3 updates. He also said at that time that he felt he and Chip Kelly would be friends regardless of who he chose. If it was gonna be Oregon, he likely would have signed already.

Why would he have signed? He said he has always planned to take all of his visits. And why not?

As far as the interviews and Butler's updates go, I've seen them. Like I said, recruit-speak and Butler's editorials. It would have been shocking had he said anything other than what he did.

Why do people keep saying "if it was going to be this school, he already would have signed with them". It makes zero sense.

i personally dont think hes terrible... i have just seen a number of people on here who just think he is a bad coach.

A lot of SEC fans think he is goofy and walked into a gold mine..both are true actually..

But his goofiness at times on Camera have made him a legend in Tigertown...because he wins...and recruits really well. He is a likable person.. He is funny, and you can tell he loves being the coach at LSU... That refreshing after Nick threatening to leave every year.

His goofiness is why people perceive he is a lousy coach...at least that is what I have to come conclude, because his record is pretty darn good..even with 5 losses last year.. He won Jim Rome over and that isn't easy. Urban Meyer won with Zook's players...just sayin

Les hires good people, he represents LSU well and is very well like by the top brass, fans, players, coaches.

I think people under estimate his abilities to prepare and game plan...some of his game day management could be better under pressure, but he seems to grow each year..

Very intense competitor behind the scenes.

Oregon is Butler's fantasy, not Brown's. Therein lies your problem, Wheaton.

I said if it was Oregon he likely would have signed already. Why? He took his visit there back in November. The impressions have already been made. He is comfortable with the coaching staff. There has to be some other reason he doesn't like Oregon or he would have given them his signature on signing day. It's freaking common sense.

As to your second paragraph, when he said that he went to sleep thinking of himself as a duck, that wasn't recruiting speak, but everything he says positive about every other school is? Nice objectivity.

Nike money... it was a pipe dream for him.

BB and his family are calling this one. Butler will have to settle for the big bucks he made with his Internet fees.

What does Nike have to do with Butler relative to Brown attending Oregon I don't understand... Why would it better at Oregon than say UT?

Big Internet fees? I bet he hasn't made 5k off that site.. He is a nobody at this point..who pays for his info and why?

If he is that close to his players, then he can't truly be objective with fans, therefor a hard sell

I say LSU is last simply because you got in on him really late and he wont feel comfortable signing with a school he just visited (come signing day).

In the thread... Nike owns the Ducks...

A lot of people say the same about UT. Pretty late to get into things.

Late is defined by a visit in November and still no signing in March.

He's either coming to UT or going to the U. The relationship between his dad, his brother, Randy Shannon, Bryce and the U is pivotal--and difficult to read through the media.

Seriously? It's in the thread.

Read it and quit posting tiger droppings. You're diluting the purity of thought that is VolNation.

Diluting the purity of thought that is Volnation...? :birgits_giggle:

Wow, someone here actually has a sense of humor after all..

Thought you were going to let that one slide.

Anyway... what happened during Brown's visit there? Did he tell you guys he looks forward to kicking Tiger tail in the SEC CG while playing for the Vols?

Spill the beans... what do you know about Brown? He's not yours, where's he going?

You guys know as much as we do, which I don't think is all that much..

I am still waiting on the premium board updates.. on his visit

Right now all we know is he had a really good time, like what he heard, but what recruits don't say that?

I am less optimistic despite the Butler page update suggesting that LSU is a contender come March 16th...
