I have a suddenly good feeling about getting him. Do you think he's good enough to start over our more experienced RBs?
If he comes to ut he will start from day 1. He is the best running back out there, and far better than enyone we have now!

Braves are going to be good this year...just a feeling. BB is good.
c'mon now, don't get my hopes up about baseball too. i can only have high hopes for huge letdowns one at a time. once the BB saga is over and he is (hopefully) a vol, then feel free to ramp up my expectations about bobby cox and the boys.

I don't know about bobby cox..

But I'll take the ramped up expectations for the team.

Gonna be a long year

Can't be worse than the one I just endured.

I think Bryce would be a huge coup, because as noted, he could play immediately. Our running game could help alleviate the QB concerns. Crompton has all the physical tools in the world, maybe he gets it right between his ears this year. If not, I like stephens fire. And I don't mean his hair..

I'm glad you guys are confident about BB but I also like our RB corps that we have now, even if BB doesn't come. However, I really want this guy to be wearing orange!!

Haha, love the ginger reference but I think BB would make an immediate impact and help our god-awful offense of last season, tremendously.

i agree with everything you just said, minus the stephens bit. i just really don't want stephens to get the job. after meeting him and talking to two of the players in one of my classes, i've come to the conclusion that he is a jerk. it's not just that he's fired up, he has an attitude that the other players don't like and that makes for a poor leader. by all accounts, crompton is a terriffic leader, he's just not very intelligent (i can attest to that. talking to him is difficult because he can't form sentances very well). from what i've heard everyone on the team raves about bj and they say he is an exceptionally vocal and strong leader. as i see it now, crompton will get the nod and be a serviceable qb because he will be playing in a simplified pro style offense tailored to his skill set. coleman will see limited action as a backup this year only to be the "starter" in 2010 until the stud we recruit next year is ready to take the reigns.

I really just wanted the fire joke. I agree with you though bro. All good :good!:

Don't listen to those idiots on Sporttalk. They said Brown was a lock to UT, too.

...which was the same sentiment as the coaching staff up until MB told them the night before NSD that he wasn't coming.

What do you have against those guys. They are 100X's better than your typical Sports Radio hosts.

I will believe it when I see it. There are so many rumors flying around the net about this kid, it makes my head spin. Tennessee thinks they have him, Oregon thinks they have him, LSU thinks they have him. He is just as likely to pull a 180 on everybody and sign with K-State. We will find out soon enough.

My thoughts exactly..
i wish there was a smiley that could truly capture how confused that made me...

Barring some very drastic fallout, come March 16, Bryce Brown will be wearing orange. Take it to the house.

HV, your post is the only one that has gotten me on the BB bandwagon for now, but can you say the sources who are stating this on TOS are spot on?

I mean, the only way I'll feel 100% confident is if we hear something like, "The staff already has his signed LOI and are holding it until his March 16th announcement".

Speaking of that, do LOI's have an expiration to them like Miami was talking about last month? If so, and it's two weeks, I like the timing of this information.

Give us some scoopage if you can!

If the LOI is signed and sent to the school it's over. He would have to appeal to get out of it. Or, he could wait and transfer.
