They did take his offer back, but BB's dad was trying to bridge the divide between Randy Shannon and his sons, as I understood it.

But, if the top recruit in the nation wants a scholarship, I mean come on. You're not going to give it to him. Geez... be real. BB doesn't need that sort of nonsense in his life. He deserves to have a coach like CLK who will be darn proud to have him on the team.

From a distance, Miami looks insecure in pulling the scholly (not wanting to be stuck at the alter if BB went elsewhere) and would look indecisive in re-extending it. In short, they kinda blew it.

Shannon has worked quite hard on restoring the image of Miami. But, BB's brother by many reports, wasn't so happy there. Don't know where that stands now.

In the end, HVWarrier is probably right, they won't go back on the position they've dug themselves into.

This whole saga is messed up. I have a feeling he's a duck. Just because of the statement of how before he goes to sleep he seems himself in an oregon jersey. That was awhile ago though so hopefully he seems himself running into the checkerboards in orange now. If we get him it will be crazy because of how late we got in. Just getting this far gives props to the staff. Can't wait until they get as much time as other coaches to develop relationships with these youngins.

Everyone keeps talking about Bryce Brown but the fact is we need Orson Charles more than Brown. We seriously lack a big physical receiver that can go across the middle. Losing Marlon Brown to Georgia hurt. We needed him in a bad way. We cannot lose Charles to Georgia as well. We have good receivers but they are in no way on the level of Green, Massaquoi, and Brown. Imagine if they get Charles as well. Of course I am biased but Orson Charles would fit in great at Tennessee. Bryce Brown is a long shot. We do not have the O line that he wants. That is a huge turn off for Brown reliable sources have said. IMO Orson Charles could be our Mike Williams. Go get him Kiffin!

Facebook fellas. Is he becoming friends with guys just from The Hill, or from all schools of interest. Also, is there any way to see who requested to be friends with the other on facebook? Sorry, I'm a youngin'.

Hubbs says we're still in it for him, but also says that his parents still want him to go to Miami and one of his parents went with him to LSU, which will help them.

I hear so many guys saying to count on him coming, but that just isn't the sentiment of Hubbs...wonder why.

I just think Hubbs is completely out of the loop with BB. He hasn't said anyting unknown in over a month.

perhaps hubbs just doesnt want to say it in case bryce does a last minute mind change. i mean....if u really think about it, are we gonna be mad at hubbs if he is wrong about bryce and he ends up coming here?

That definitely could be the case. Just seems that he likes to share when he has something of substance. I can see where blabbing his mouth could be detrimental to the situation.

When people here said he was on FB, I was wondering if he added normal everyday people and how accessible he was in talking to them. Like I said, we have talked twice, and it was nothing about his recruitment process or anything about LPE. Having been a coach/teacher for 15 years, I feel I can relate to kids without coming across as "creepy" or a "stalker." The key is to show a genuine interest in the person and not be focused on what the relationship does for you. I am sure we can all agree on this.

I can say this...at 10:30 PM on Saturday night...during his LSU trip...he was online. I kind of found that odd. Honestly, he seems to be a class act...he would be a welcome addition to CLK and the program.

I relate to the Braves fan here...I refuse to get my hopes up until the name is on the paper and the ink is dry. This offseason SUCKED for Braves fans like myself. We don't believe ANYTHING we read anymore on blogs (thank you Dave O'Brien).
