Roger. With recruits these days, I just won't get my hopes up until the LOI is signed. Although we were on the better end of recruits changing their minds last second this year, I'm hoping BB isn't one of them.

Don't know if anyone recalls Volball333's last thread he started. It was about BB being a lock and he shared this information after he said he met CLK. Now, we all know VB333 was a bit of a loose cannon, but CLK hasn't quite shown the ability to hold information back either.

Strangest thing though, that thread was deleted as fast as it was started and the wind carried it away like dust in the desert, poof, gone. Conspiracy theory I know, but just food for thought.

Okay, I'm really just bored, but who knew.

see i thought vball was just crazy after the whole gaethers incident stating he knew the family and he was a vol.

Not at all. Any shots I have taken are directed at individual behavior. I'm meeting some cool folks over here.

As far as Brown slipping away. Why would I feel that? The last things he has said about Oregon are, by my estimation, the highest praise he has given any program to date. He has praised other schools since. But, nothing that I would say changes anything.

The rumors about him being a UT lock. They could be true. But, there are rumors like that on every schools board. A person can see first hand on these boards how one piece of information gets turned into something else just in two forum pages. So, I don't really factor any forum rumors in unless they are substantiated.

I agree...

But it is very rare that anyone buys into an unsubstantiated rumor on this board. EVERYONE "in the know" on this board seems to think that this isn't just a rumor.

Apparently those close to the situation have leaked information on the VolQuest message board. And the members on here that are regarded as our "recruiting mods" are very vocal in thinking that he will be a Vol.

They're horrible. Hyams has gotten a lot of stuff wrong, not just the Marlon Brown thing. I don't mind Wilkerson...I take him for what he is, the jovial sidekick.

I am so afraid to get my hopes up, but man there seems to be a lot of confident people on this one.

I think that he was talking about the guys in chattanooga. The only sports talk personalities worth a damn in Knoxville are Hubbs and Basillio.


Oh.. Staying on topic... Could moving Douglas to the line be a two fold message? "Hey Orson, we need a TE..." And "hey Brown, we're beefing up the o-line for you..."

How's that for a conspiricy theory?

If he comes he will be the starter day one, and the first play of the season will be his, too.

I can see something to the wide side of the field, get him in space. God help them if he gets the corner and turns it up the field.

I think CLK will want to be able to showcase him early, not just for Bryce, but for the fans - and most importantly, future recruits, too.

That's what i'd do, but there's a reason I don't wake up next to Layla each morning.

I "find" your post "interesting". I "have" never "said" that "Bryce brown" is a "lock" to "the Hill". I do "find" it "curious" that "several" leaks "saying" he is "UT" "bound" are "coming" out.

Several posters who are long time and in the know are projecting BB to UT. Some with 100% confidence and some with over 50%. One poster had reversed his position and has secured information that BB will be a Vol. When I follow football recruiting there are 4 to 6 persons I look to for results. Right now all are stating we have a greater than 50% chance of BB.

FLVOL53 has been right 95% of the time on the other board. Im taking him as telling the truth. He stuck to his guns on the Richardson thing even after ESPN was wrong

its easy to go with these guys because you want to believe. would you be so quick to jump on the bandwagon if he was saying BB is headed to the U?

It is easier to believe when UT is the team, however 4 to 6 reliable sources also make it a lot easier. If that many were saying the U then I would believe it.

Rex I do not rule out the U. I hate to say it but I am not sure until I see him signed as a Vol. I do think there are some decent indicators out there that he is headed to the hill, but then again this could be a train wreck and a bad dream. The jury is still out and the Fat Lady has not Sung Yet. Although I do believe she is going to sing Rocky Top when she bellows, but would not put a 100% on it. 50+ yes.
