You're off topic, again.

If you basically just want to shoot the bull about stupid stuff, we do that in the pub or on the NCAA boards. You have a thread there, remember? Use it to collect your drivel.

Others here, including me, are simply sick of hearing about Oregon, because frankly, like most of the rest of the world, we don't give damn about Oregon football.

We were discussing whether or not Oku committing to UT has a lure factor for Brown. You were the one who brought up the Ducks. I agree. If you want to battle over who "has more talent", as YOU brought up, PM me about it.

I see your point, but (hopefully without getting too deeply entrenched in this) I will point out what Kiffin has said several times on this topic. That is that neither Carson Palmer, nor Matt Leinart were considered uber-QB's initially at USC. I realize that you're referencing the later years when they were absolutely tearing people up with the Leinart/Bush/White strikeforce. But Kiffin has said repeatedly that he believes we have the talent at QB, it has simply not been developed properly, a statement hopefully corroborated by his decision to let Boyd go.

So, I don't think it's necessarily fair to make that statement until this staff has had some time to build into these QB's.

Sorry for the derailment - I realize I'm taking a big risk doing that as a new guy. :)

I agree with your observation and the potential for a QB to be good at UT. I'm not saying that UT can't be good or even that running back by committee can't work with Brown there. I'm just saying that, even if UT gets good, it will have to be in a different way than USC because they have different players. The QB difference is just one example. Maybe UT also has a better TE and one less WR than USC had, etc. Maybe their line is better at pass protection but not at run blocking. They are going to be a different team.

No, Brown brought up the issue about UT talent, essentially retracted his statement, and you come here and keep rubbing his nose in it. Then, you extend this bogus claim that Oregon has more talent than UT because some preseason polls ranks you higher. It's pure rubbish.

The second stupid point you keep trying to make is that Lane Kiffin can't evaluate talent. The guy turned away almost as many 4* athletes as you've signed... this year! We're not talking about 1 player's difference on 1 ranking. We're talking about Oregon having 3-4* players, some 3* players, and about ten 2* players and how that is much lower in talent than UT's class (already posted the stars).

Finally, every time you get a chance, you bring up your stupid 1 year history of football perspective. You're like a broken record. This is like beating up a retarded kid on the play ground. I'm just tired of doing it.

But, I do think, you're the definition of Troll. Never seen a better indicator than someone who did the same thing on tOSU's board last year in a failed effort to recruit Pryor.

I don't think Brian Butler is going to get the Nike pay out at the Browns' family's expense. But, if somehow he does, good luck. I'm done with talking stupid Oregon football.

It's simply a lot more fun to talk with fans of other teams who, at least, know what it's like to win a NC as opposed to those who have tried for over a hundred years, and failed every single season. Gawd! You're not a frontrunner. I'll give you that.

Point well taken. :hi:

Does anybody else think he looks like a young Nipsey Russell in this picture?

Yes, a definite similarity. :good!:

All this talk about Butler is pointless. After Brown commits he will become a non-factor. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure Butler has exhausted his eligibility and will not be suiting up for us.

Im sure he has other projects lined up for the years to come. There are lots of high profile, future college football stars that need a mentor.

I don't think he strikes gold again like he did with Brown though. Plus the scrutiny by the NCAA and the negative press will likely scare some prospects away.

wow that nipsy russel pic is funny.

Butler won't be around once bryce is on campus beside to visit for gamedays sometimes. Once Arthur got to Miami, butler butted out. I expect the same whereever brown goes which should be TN since he was trying to get Oku and Charles. If he doesnt come i guess he is just a fan cuz he def tried to get Charles here.

So you can definitely count. Last time i checked you need 3 things for it to be called a trio.

Thanks Sab....I have to say that some of these people are so quick to cut on posts that by there own ignorance they dont even fully read the posts or comprehend. To break down my previous post in lamens terms..Eddie Gran...(Who is now our RB coach and used Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown pretty well together at Auburn:ermm:), David Oku (currently signed) and Bryce Brown(possible addition) would be a great trio. 123...yeah!!!Wow I can count. Momma will be so proud. Now if I could just say my abc's.

If we get Bryce, our running back corps will be a major strength. Hardesty, Creer, Poole, Brown, and Oku could all get legitimate PT. Heck maybe even Toney Williams. What a battle that would be for a spot, talk about hard work.

Sorry to hear that, OP. I'm looking myself.

yeah i took a voluntary layoff this time. tired of struggling on a sinking ship. might have a different opinion if Leach was our coach.:pirate: as bad as it sounds, i spent my last night (3rd shift) at work thinking more about David Oku and Bryce Brown, than i did my career future.

Dont know if its been posted or not yet, but a guy form TOS made his way onto the vols forum and told everyone that the consensus in Miami is that TN is the team to beat for browns signiture. The vol fans asked the miami fans what they though of the poster who left the comment, and everyone said he was one of their most reliable posters. The other fans believe it too.

That's what we all heard today. Him and Oku picture themselves as being the next great RB tandem. Congrats. Both are Butler boys so it makes sense. Another rumor today was that Arthur was in Randy's office and it doesn't sound good for us. I'm just hoping he's not transferring.

SUPPOSEDLY

The Brown's have been looking at homes in the Knoxville vicinity, fwiw.
