Do you think that the negative reaction by the media and sports fans in general to Kiffin's actions/comments could hurt a recruit like Browns value as a franchise player in the NFL? In other words, if Kiffin turns UT into a team that sports fans like to root against (like Notre Dame and Ohio State) could that damage Brown's ability to sell tickets on an NFL team across the country?

That is one of the more absurd things I've read.

He is doing the same thing he was doing at USC. Should not be a surprise. He hired a excellent recruiting staff to boot.

True, but I think he's ahead of schedule.

With Brown, this class looks a lot like the 2003 class Kiffin recruited at USC--which included Bush and White.

Recruiting_ Kiffin at USC_Rivals
2002: 13th
2003: 3rd (about same star profile as this year's UT class w BB),
2004-2005: 1st all three years

If we are around his 2003 mark this year (he had a couple of years to work up to that at USC and only 3 months here), it gets seriously sick next year and beyond.

Go Vols!

If BB, Momma-B & Daddy-B do visit this weekend, its over. For all we know, he may announce from campus?

No chance. It's all set up for Monday the 16th at 1PM. We're talking serious airtime.

ESPN will have to interrupt their coverage of Kiffin to squeeze it in.

they didn't reserve a spot for him at the Kansas Hall of Fame just to have him cancel at the last minute.

anyone thought that he may sign while he is here?

Pretty confident that's illegal. If college coaches can't be present when the fax is sent, I would say it's safe to conclude that he can't sign while on campus, unless he was already enrolled at the school.
