Not for every snap. He still needed Tebow on those third down situation. We'll see how he does without his 3rd down golden boy. Too early to tell right now.

Lest we forget too, in addition to a NC with Tebow at the helm, he also had a 4 loss season.

So they suddenly began being complacent once Meyer took over at Florida? Doesn't make much sense to me.

My definition of an elite coach is someone who wins, wins big, and wins consistently. All the while brining in the consistently great recruiting classes.

i was with you up to the point of putting a team together, i think dan mullen did alot of that. and again meyer gets credit for that. he doesnt have strong, mullen or tebow. thats why i say this is his make or break year to prove if he is a legit elite coach

No, they started before he got there. Even Zook beat Fulmer in his later years. That is saying something.

Bowden wasn't relevant since the turn of the century.

Tebow hardly played his freshman season. Attributing that 06 title to Tebow is flat out wrong.

Yes, and? He lost 9 or so defensive starters to the draft and attrition the year prior and was forced to start a young inexperienced defense which largely contributed to the losses.

Ask just about everyone in here, Meyer being an elite coach is a forgone conclusion.

I think it is crazy.

Back to Boise State...on paper they should be getting beat right now. As it stands, they are holding their own, at worst.

Dan Mullen? We went 13-1 with a BCS bowl win a year after his departure with Steve Addazio calling plays. The last time Steve Addazio was an offensive coordinator for a D-1 program his offense was ranked 101st in the nation.

Meyer's already proven his worth, losing 3 games this year(that's my personal prediction) doesn't change the fact that he's an elite coach.

And here I thought (or have been told, anyway) that wouldn't matter for an elite coach of Meyer's caliber. Afterall, that is the true test for a great coach, no?

beacuse they are well coached - talent or not.
FLorida - if (big if) they are well coached then why do they have 13 fumbled snaps? lack of talent?
