Va Tech has sort of become like Georgia was 5 years ago and Michigan was about 10 years ago. Always in the top 10 and nobody can explain why.

I've always likened Richt to Beamer. Always good with competing for conference titles and being consistently in the top 10/15. Yet, never threatening for a national championship. Other than '99, VT has always manifests themselves into the title conversation, yet never became a serious contender.

Does Salt Lake get extremely cold?

Not too bad. I'm about 35 miles north of SLC. Most of the winters I've been here, it's a lot of snow with some days in the 20's. 30 degrees here is warmer to me than in the east. People wear shorts out here when it's snowing. Seriously. I'm at 4500'; gets colder obviously in the higher elevations. I like the overall 12 weather better in the west.
