Buc-ee's

So I finally went inside. It was insane. The line to the women's bathroom was like 50-people long. The brisket sandwich was OK. The cinnamon pecans were excellent. The bathrooms were awesome. Verdict: the squeeze is not worth the juice but the wife liked it so I'll be back someday

It must be terrible to not have a face. I can’t imagine

Here's my moment to say I no longer understand this world. My relatives in TX always talk about Buc-ee's, which is basically a Love's station on steroids. I'm thinking, what the hell is the big deal? Y'all love snacks that much? I've had plenty of what they bring back from the store. It was good but it didn't knock my socks off.

On our way to Gulf Shores, AL this past Saturday, we were passing one and opted not to go in because it was nearly 9 pm and there were like 50 cars there.

We planned to go on our way out of town and I **** you not, I would guess there were 500 cars there. It was a massive traffic jam just trying to pull in. So we headed up the road and stopped at Cracker Barrel. WTF is wrong with people? How can the value proposition be that high? And who had the bright idea to sink big money into a gas station the size of a strip mall? Hats off to that guy. **** if I'll ever understand it. Who here loves Buc-ee's and can explain to me what I'm not understanding?

lots of reasons to like, lowest prices on fuel, brisket, fudge, strawberry preserves, very clean store, very well trained and paid staff. Employees have very good benefits.
My retired cousin works for the one in Daytona Beach and makes $17 hour part time three days week.

Anybody have food at both Buc-ee’s and WAWA’S?
If so, which is better?

I was in Daytona Saturday and we stopped. I would never had any idea apart from this thread. What I saw was zactly like MrMax's pictures. It's big, and word has gotten out, as there were 1000 people in there. I didn't eat, but it sure looked like it would be okay. They had people making fresh food in 3 rings out in the middle of the building.

Never been to one, but this isn’t how I thought it was called. For some reason I thought it was pronounced more like Buckies.

Those people are idiots. It is pronounced like “Buckies”. It’s not pronounced like “Bucy’s”.

And, stupid lady calling it a gopher? It’s a freaking beaver!
