Is Bruce and UT fighting the "bump" infraction that occured 4 days after his apology presser. I read on another site that UT was fighting the charge and felt we had a winnable case. Anybody heard this?

Haven't heard anything but how do you fight that? He was either there or he wasn't. Seems cut and dry to me.

Being there is not synonomous with a bump infraction and it is not illegal to say a brief hello either.

They are fighting the fact that is not a major violation. It is usually a minor violation, and we got a major violation for it.

Doesn't the letter say it was a 2.5-3 minute conversation? It wasn't too intelligent to have the conversation, but I suppose there could be room for an argument. I wasn't there.

yeah it shouldn't be a major violation - I think they just made it major due to the timing since it was right after his press conference apology - but before the recruiting suspension.

Pearl wasn't there and doesn't even know the kid he is accused of bumping. That's why the university didn't consider it a violation to report.

I believe it was around 3min. There was also something mentioned around a picture taken but can't remember the specifics

At this point i say take your medicine and move on! 'Fighting' with the AA doesn't seem sensible at this point and time.

Why should UT just bend over and take it from the NCAA? Arguing our point got the Failure to Monitor charge in football placed on Kiffin and not the program. I say go for it.

There is only one coach who engaged in a fight with the NCAA and actually won. He hasn't coached at UNLV in a long time.
