Burrell assault during the punt ...

AP won’t be getting an invite back any time soon. Say goodbye to those fat paychecks. 2 chop blocks “called” and with those refs, that means there were at least 5-7. They were chippy and dirty alll night and their coach gave off that vibe as well.
Or bring them back one more time and put a video together for the current team and pound them into the ground and run the score up on them as much as humanly possible and then never let them back. Either I’m fine with.

The targeting - the special teams flag was the definition. He launched toward the head and neck area.
The offsides - why did they stop the free plays when there was no direct line to the QB? They did this every time.
Pass interference - INCONSISTENT at best for both teams. It was wild.
Holding - Sometimes they called incredibly petty stuff and others they didn't care about.
The fumble - It was a catch and fumble. It led to nothing but how do you watch that and not say, he tucked and made a move upfield. It wasn't even bang-bang.
The clock - several times hit 00 and the refs just let it go.

Austin Peay and Tennessee should both submit several clips for review. It was bush league and painful. I know it was Austin Peay, but at least get refs that know what they are looking at.

I recall him chirping and clapping his hands on a timeout immediately after we hit a 30 yard run. Like he was thrilled his guys only gave up 30 yards in stead of 50.

Tool.

They showed it a few times reply for us at home. Lots of respect for AP. Those guys had nothing to lose and a lot of those kids grew up as UT fans and probably had a huge chip on their shoulder. Just knowing they could get in the head of the 9th ranked, heavily favorite Vols is a win for them. Imagine the adrenaline and chance to play in front of that many people and it being so close a lot of your family could come. Loooved that coaches energy!

The Refs probably took AP and the points in a series of untraceable bets with a cut of winnings.
That's the only thing I can say regarding their lack of calling a game.
No group can be that incompetent without some incentive.

I think the Austin Pee coach took a few too many Ritalin before the game. Or a case of Red Bull. But the worst call IMHO was the one where AP receiver caught a ball and took at least 3 steps with full possession, fumbled and we recovered, Ref's called it an incomplete pass. Replay clearly showed it was a bad call.

Thes games are big money makers for the smaller teams. If I were UT I would share the video from this game with the conference athletic directors and advise them not to schedule games with APU. The program should be boycotted until that slimy coach is replaced.

They stopped showing replays in the stadium of anything close to controversial.
The “refs you suck” chants were impressive in how long they lasted
Not showing the replays with a multimillion dollar video board is a dis-service to our fans, Danny White. Good reason to sit home and watch the game on TV. At least you get the important replays.

The problem is the public is never informed of those actions.
First minute the news media writes the full details of what was seen and happened they get sued. Even though it is obvious.
Doug Matthews stated it was a job audition for some of the Refs on the field.
The overall grade of this team is a Big FAT "F".
This game got so out of hand at the first the Refs never gained control of it and let it go.

Really grateful for @Freak putting those videos up… love being able to go back and watch them!

I am still curious, some one said they no longer have refs from the opposing non-conference opponents conference come ref the games, is that the case and if so, when did it change? Also, if those were SEC refs, the SEC needs to replace them… quickly, they really suck at their job!

ACC refs

To bad they couldn't show a little class. And that crazy coaches energy looked...well crazy. Coaching to injure is a non-starter for me.
