Bush is just such a buffoon

Absolutly, he does have smarts. You know, Chris Lofton is damn good basketball player. He is much better than the average person walking down the street but compare him to Kobe Bryant and how good is he? I think the same argument is being made about Bush, no doubt he is a smart man but is he smart in comparison to people we expect to hold the top position in the country?[/QUOTE]

I think most people would agree that Jimmy Carter was probably one of the smartest (IQ), but he also was probably the least effective. On the other hand, nobody accused Reagan of being a genius, but he was damn effective. So intelligence and being a good president don't always go hand in hand. Personnaly, I would rather have an effective president.:salute:

Carter has solidified his place over Bush by his continued actions after the presidency. That said, Bush is definitely in the running.

Carter is trying hard to win the lifetime failure award. I honestly believe his heart is in the right place, but his ego makes him believe he can solve these problems without looking at the overall picture to see his efforts are destined to fail.

refer to post 395.

Tennessee is a red state. I don't think it's a big shock that Gore lost Tennessee. I wouldn't be surprised, had Romney made it the general election, if he had lost the blue state he's from. Do you think Republicans in Tennessee were going to vote for Gore or something and we both know Republicans outnumber Democrats in this state.
