Bush is just such a buffoon

Tennessee is a red state. I don't think it's a big shock that Gore lost Tennessee. I wouldn't be surprised, had Romney made it the general election, if he had lost the blue state he's from. Do you think Republicans in Tennessee were going to vote for Gore or something and we both know Republicans outnumber Democrats in this state.

that must be why Phil Bredesen was elected governor. granted, after Sundquist, Phil was almost a shoo in.

I believe Clinton won the RED state of Tennessee twice. Try again.

State positions are a whole different ballgame. Look at all the governors across the U.S. that are Democrat serving in red states.

A. That's not what you said and B. Bush had a popular dad himself.

I said that Bush graduated from Harvard and Gore couldn't make it through Vanderbilt. If you want to read between those lines and claim that it's my stance that Gore didn't graduate from Harvard as well, be my guest.

Clinton apparently won a lot of states. Did you see the landslide totals against Bob Dole and H.W. was unpopular at the time when he ran in 1992.

Ok...so...your point about Tennesse being impossible to win by a D is completely wrong. Anymore excuses?

I might buy that had you not added the words at least to it.

your right, in some cases they can win if the Republican is widely unpopular that they run against or if it is a State position. That was not the playing field that Gore was given in 2000.

How can a great statesmen like Gore not win his home state?

It shouldn't matter what his party affliation is.

Yes..I forget. Bush practically swept the nation in popular votes and electoral votes. He was a steamroller. Again...anymore excuses as to why dumbo could not win Tennessee?

Gore should have never pretended to be someone he was not.

His advisors should have let him scream, sigh and carry on.
