Butch Jones blaming negativity surrounding his program on the Tennessee fanbase

He needs to learn how to have thicker skin. That's just part of big time college football. Every major fanbase does this kind of thing.

I'm not a fan of piling on and kicking a dead horse over and over, but Jones would be well advised to stop even a mention of UT or especially the fan base. Not sure how he believes this could possibly help his situation.

The man has become a pathetic case at this point, and really needs to be fired and put out of his misery already. And then get the hell away from CFB.

I ain't joking with him anymore. He had minor successes, was handed the keys to the kingdom and failed here, tried to rehabilitate, and is ending his comeback dream. Watching him emotionally and physically admit it to himself on national TV is not something I wouldn't wish on any respectable person.

I hope he finds something to make him happy because this isn't it.

Also, don't believe what A to Z Sports writes. They are here to fire you up in sunshine or outrage for clicks.

Well, let's see here butchy...........

1. Beat UGAly and Florduh in the same season and still don't win the east 1694090219796.png
2. Keep the most dynamic Rb/player in recent UT history on the bench 1694090266148.png
3. Run off the other Rb because you rode him too hard 1694090331729.png
4. Embarrass an entire fanbase with your stupid cliches 1694090388923.png
5. Go to their biggest rival and take a BS salary just so you can milk your buyout 1694090441840.png

Denial ain't just a river in Egypt, trumpet player

Wow..I don't know how an AD doesn't fire him on the spot. Nobody watched that game in Tennessee...everyone just saw the score and the pundit comments. He is trying to create a strawman in UT fanbase to detract from how bad he is as a coach. His platform will be gone for good soon in the coaching world. No more jabs, cigars or one liners. Just a sad old con artist trying to get into low level politics or low rent motivational speaking.

Shouldn't he be bolstered by the positive comments from Alabama fans excited about what they accomplished with him there? Oh yeah, that's right, they don't think he did anything.

Stupid article.

'Why do Vols fans not like Butch Jones? Was it because he was close to something special?'

No, it was because he was a fraud, who blamed everything on everyone but himself, deliberately tried to sabotaged the program in his final season, burned every bridge in the world when he left, then went to our arch-rival as a glorified car washer, smoked "victory cigars" the 1st year Bama beat us (even though he built the team that lost and had nothing to do with the win), and spent several years deliberately not taking any real job just to collect paychecks from UT.

By some miracle, some AD was stupid enough to hire him after all that, and he's basically proving everyone that the UT fanbase was correct about him.

If anything, UT fans have more obvious reasons to hate Kiffin (bolting for USC), Dooley (the worst coach), or Pruitt (cheating). The fact that Butch is the most hated ex-coach says a lot about him. Dude is still trying to blame UT for the fact that he sucks at a completely different program 6 years later. That's his entire personality --- blame others for his failures.

Letter to Butch:
I can't see why any Tennessee fan would be bad mouthing you, Butch. Didn't you make UT pay your salary when at Alabama, and didn't you celebrate Bama beating the guys you recruited by firing up a stogie in the bowels of Neyland Stadium? (Now Butch, you should have talked to me before that game. I would have clued you in that the classy way to celebrate that victory was just to disappear and wait in the team bus). But no. Tennessee WAS one of the teams that gone a whole season without losing every conference game until you came along, and now we can't say that. It would have only taken 1 win that season to keep that streak going, but nooooo. You cry to easy to, Butch. Why did you cry when Dobbs completed the hail mary at UGA? That was kinda embarrassing. Why was the future NFL rookie of the year sitting the bench under your guidance? Was it because you offered (lied to) every recruit a starting job in the living room with their parents and when they pushed back, you had to sit Kamera?

Rearrange a few letters and take some away, in Kamera's name and what do you know, you get Karma. Fitting. 73-0. Couldn't you at least attempted a field goal, or maybe you couldn't get close enough.

Butch, we still love you dude and would never sully your name.

But...I can't believe you are still trying to pretend to be a coach.

Heupel picked up a football and QB'd a natty when he was in school. Butch you blew a clarinet. You lost me at "haveatampa".

It's unbelievable. Thinking the negativity following a 73-0 loss is somebody else's fault is the height of being out of touch.
