I didn't even think about crying. Excited? Yes, but we needed a freaking hail Mary to beat a team we should have eaten by 3 touchdowns. And yes BJ was a laughingstock for a while for that emotional kneel down

Yes, you could see it on his face when he was smoking the cigar in Bama locker room after they beat us. I wish I could erase that memory in my mind!

I do have a serious question though. In his post game presser he said something to the effect of,’you go back to all the places we’ve been and ask about a Butch Jones coached team and you will hear they were extremely disciplined and very physical.’
Is the disciplined part true on his stop at TN? I feel like I was constantly yelling at the TV for a decade about poor discipline..

Not as bad as Dooley or Pruitt as a coach overall but I don’t care what happens to him after the smoking thing.

I hope he fails at everything in life since he decided to not only smoke a cigar in Neyland but to post it to social media like he had anything to do with Bama’s win that year!!!!

I don't like him either for all of that. But what you are saying is the same thing as saying Penn State should have received the death penalty for what Sandusky and JoPa did. Punish the kids... It's that about right?

I think Butch is a punk. Whatever happens to him is deserved, but karma has a way of coming back to bite you. The players and the fans don't deserve to be humiliated like this. None of them had anything to do with hiring Butch.

A little perspective.

I am really working hard at letting go of my anger at Butch. It is hard considering the way he smoked that cigar after the Bama win and they way he didn’t take a HC job until his payout was done. But it’s time to let it go, for our own sanity as much as for his benefit.
He gave us Josh Dobbs and our first wins against Georgia and Florida in forever. Let’s call the balance sheet squared and get on with enjoying the amazing journey we are on with Josh Heupel. Let’s focus our anger at the way we are disrespected nationally TODAY and make some statements. Starting with Florida and USCJr

I agree I should. Even my wife says it’s unhealthy. But I can’t stand Botch. What he did to the program is shameful, but at least he tried. I have no doubt he wanted to win. He just isn’t very good at his craft.

It takes a scumbag to do what he did after he left the university of Tennessee. It’s not like he got canned without cause. His contract also left him well taken care of.

He could have easily moved on with dignity and maturity to the next opportunity and been grateful for the huge opportunity afforded to him in Knoxville.

Instead he decided to take a big ole, steamy, paint peeling **** on the program. I have 0 sympathy for him. If this is wrong, please pray for my soul.

Not easy for sure. I am further along though with forgiving Butch than I am Schiano and his media sycophants 😉. Still struggling with THAT one
