I am really working hard at letting go of my anger at Butch. It is hard considering the way he smoked that cigar after the Bama win and they way he didn’t take a HC job until his payout was done. But it’s time to let it go, for our own sanity as much as for his benefit.
He gave us Josh Dobbs and our first wins against Georgia and Florida in forever. Let’s call the balance sheet squared and get on with enjoying the amazing journey we are on with Josh Heupel. Let’s focus our anger at the way we are disrespected nationally TODAY and make some statements. Starting with Florida and USCJr

Butch had a roster full of generational talent and Vol legacies and squandered it. That 2016 was the most stacked roster we’d had since 2001. Besting UGA and FL was nice, yes, but still a massive underachievement.

In his defense, he sucked as a coach so why wouldn’t he take as much as he could? I hear you though. Wormiest dude ever. No integrity.

Surely you jest that he sucked as a coach, I still marvel at the genius of running read option with Justin Worley.

Ark St has some of the best facilities/infrastructure in their division. That school is set up to be a winner in a league where NIL is a non-factor and coaching/facilities rule. Butch will be fired after this season.

I haven't really looked at their schedule, but Arky St seems like one of those teams that take on quite a few "money" games.

They will keep him around through those and then just cut the cord. Elevate an assistant to see if there is anything there worth keeping. If not entirely new staff by December.

The ultimate irony of course being that the players are going to have to get their heads beaten in during more of those "money" games to pay Botchs buyout.
