Butch Jones quotes after the game:

I bet your a Gruden dreamer who thinks that guy with a 51% winning percentage would be able to do something. Make no mistake, Oregon is an outstanding team, and they were extra hyped for us. Preparing for that super speed offense is extra difficult when you have little depth and no playmakers on offense. If OU played Bama in the regular season with only a week to prepare, they would win by a couple of TDs, but with a month to prepare, Saban would probably prepare Bama to win. And if Saban was our new coach this year, he would not have done any better with this team. I hate to see us lose like that, but we simply don't have the team to compete at that level yet. While Fla did not play great, they definitely did not hand it over to us. But keep complaining, and if you get your way, we will change coaches every couple of years, and never get any better.

Your roundabout way of admitting that Saban is not a valid comparison. I agree. Thanks

It's all coach speak

Results need to be on the field

Agreed. Time to scrap the read option for now as we have immobile QBs. Defenses can just watch our qb as he slowly hands the ball off to the ONLY running back behind him. Time for an I formation or wishbone. Tired of seeing Neal struggle for a yard.

If I've learned anything over the years it's the fact that you can't Hinge on every word that a head football coach says. It's much easier to see his work reflected on the football field.

Basically said peterman was better in practice. I'm not sure he would have switched to Worley if peterman hadn't hurt his hand.

and you are serious , that is what is sad. No way Peterman was seeing the field in the 2nd half. I don't know that to be true because BJ left him in far too long than he should've . he should of been pulled after his 2nd turnover.

I'm starting to think that our ability to grease and sharpen the existing tools is also a problem though --unfortunately. Playcalling, scheme, and preparation are lacking. As you posted elsewhere, the ability to get a QB ready for this level of competition is in fact a high order task. And it's one that this staff doesn't seem to be up to.

Yet, I think they are getting the most out of Corey Miller, Brent Brewer, Davonte Swafford, Michael Palardy, Cam Sutton, and a few others.

My biggest disappointment is the failure to establish an offensive identity. To me that is a chicken and egg argument with the QB. I would like to see a better offensive game planning, and more of what we saw in the second half of the WKY game.

Understand that I realize that the jury is out until you win, but they are getting a lot out of guys that we have seen absolutely nothing from in the last few years. I just have a hard time being too critical given the entirety of the situation. It is counter productive to get too down on anyone....in my opinion. Getting down on this coaching staff and team now serves no purpose whatsoever.

I'm just curious....

Going into this season, what did you all THINK our record would be after 4 games? And how is our record, any different than what you expected? In fact, which GAME is any different than we expected?

Getting absolutely plastered at Oregon was different than I thought it would be. I thought we would have some intelligent coaching decisions made during a game. But so far I have been wrong.

You obviously missed the part where I said it HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH COACHING ABILITY

I caught your comment about coaching ability. However, your comment about "Dooley 2.0" either shows your total ignorance with what CBJ is doing or you are a troll. I suppose you could be both.
