I know Butch gets it, and I know he is the son of a police officer. However, I am curious how and why does our coach get a police escort to visit a recruit's home? I love it, but I am just curious how this comes about....I've never heard of such awesomeness.

P.S. I wonder if Captain Butch just borrowed some police cars, and the staff dressed up like police officers and barged in Malone's home screaming, "We've found the BIG BRICK!!!!"

Sorry, I'm just excited!:)

I'm sure that was exciting for the recruit, but let's be honest, that is ridiculous. Especially if the officer wasn't volunteering his time to do it (i.e., our tax dollars paid for it).

Misleading thread title. I expected to see pics of a lady of the night.

Or his girlfriend?

It looks impressive when a police escort pulls up to your house and the head coach of a major university and his staff step out to talk to you....Looks can be everything.

I must admit it's a little ridiculous (maybe even embarrassing) to me. Lol. I mean I totally get the fact that recruiting has taken on unbelievable measures and every coach is looking for "anything" to one up another staff. Kinda like Kiffin/Orgeron's late night helicopter runs to various high school football games. I mean it's really gotten out of hand if you think about it. It's really no wonder a lot of these kids report to various programs feeling entitled. I miss the days when most recruits were simply flattered and honored to play for and represent a university.

If I had mad photoshop skills, I would create a picture of Butch in a Ford Escort, with an escort in the passenger seat, and a police escort accompanying him.
