your tax dollars????? as little as the police get paid to put their life on the line for you every day im sure he would gladly give you back your 50 cents.

Man most of them pigs are over paid and harass people for simple stuff like walking to the store instead of solving real crimes.

There's a promising thread of "Girls of the Offseason". It hasn't quite taken off, but the potential is there.

Girls of the Bye Week had more relative talent than any school not named Oregon or Florida :)

What does their pay level have to do with them getting paid to perform a job way outside of their responsibility. Their amount of pay has nothing to do with the fact they shouldn't be used for stupid stuff like that.

If they were on duty and a real emergency happened, then the force would be one man down.

I have nothing against policeman and totally agree they are underpaid. But we should not be paying them to go recruiting.

Butch knows how to do it up. I wonder what Malone was thinking when Butch pulled up with the rolling police escort.

I think it was brilliant and goes to show that Butch is willing to pull out all the stops and also that he understands what impresses kids of that age. That he takes care of those little things shows me he is likely to do that on the field as well.

As to getting a police escort - pretty much anyone (who is a major organization) can apply to get one that has a civic event, etc. What happens is the permit seeker reimburses the county PO for costs. Most of the time it is cops who would be offduty anyway and are wanting some overtime pay. Thats how it is in NYC anyway.

Yeah, sitting on the side of the highway with a radar gun and ticketing people for riding bikes on the sidewalk is really a tough gig.

Is there any doubt that had this been Dooley, his caravan and police escort would have went to the wrong house?

Until you get run over pulling someone over or get shot. I guess we should get rid of those lazy bastards that keep our families from being more likely to become traffic fatalities?

And if the prospect had been Nu'Keese Richardson or Cameron Clear, they would have run out the back door of the house when they saw the police coming :hi:

Maybe this is the real reason he took a police escort with him - to see if the prospects get scared and nervous and ultimately run for the back door :p

Unless you live in the city of Gallatin, then you aren't paying one dime in tax money for what the GPD does.
If I remember, these were off duty cops.

Police are often paid by an event producer for special escorts.
