You guys hate the truth. The vast majority of the people protesting were doing just that.
A few idiots used it as cover to be idiots.
I know you guys are desperately trying to convince the mindless that the left is rioting and burning down cities and shooting cops.
That's total BS. The left is appropriately exercising their right to peacefully protest. Some idiots being out of control does not change that fact.
I was thinking the bay of pigs stuff and calling off the invasion riled up the mccarthians. As someone who was turning 14, and interested in politics when Kennedy was killed, I don't remember hearing about number 3 at all, or thinking that number 1 was a detriment to his election. The Kennedy clan hadn't made that much of an impact in politics by 1960. 2 was a small problem, and 4 was kept under the wraps from the public at that time.
I think it WAS a no knock, but the officers did knock and announce. They probably did not wait long between announcing and breaking the door. The whole ting was poorly done and the woman was killed unnecessarily. However, blaming and rioting and additional violence will not get the change we need. And, I don't think there will ever be a satisfactory level of justice to appease the BLM people. Break the cycle of generational poverty and generational crime and see how things work out. Break the cycle of generational single parent homes while you're at it.IMO, the distinction being made that this was not a "no-knock" warrant is only important insofar as it is a fact that the media was wrong about and ran with for the last several months. In terms of the outcome of the encounter, I don't really see how it makes much of a difference. Knocking on the door to announce yourself only to then bust the door down does not automatically make it less threatening for the people inside who likely have no idea what is going on and have no idea who is intruding. This was bad, but probably legal, police work (other than the guy firing blindly into the wrong apartment). There needs to be an overhaul in the procedure of executing these types of warrants and maybe an overhaul of the requirements to obtain such a warrant.
This is what kills me about people like you. You admit that you haven't seen anything that says what happened and then go on to claim that the vast majority was peacefully protesting.I haven't seen the reports. Maybe 120 of them were for breaking curfew.
Either way, the vast majority was peacefully protesting.
If only there was someone that could put this on a continuum.I remember being at a party after a UT / bama football game back in the early 80's. We were out on the apartment balcony and saw a couple of bama fans walking through the parking lot. A group of about 5 moronic redneck UT fans, jumped the two and beat the crap out of them.
I've always been curious about how to describe the after game atmosphere.
"Complete lawlessness where UT fans were attacking and beating innocent bama fans", or "great fun with the exception of a few out of control idiots among the 100 thousand."
Now that I think about it. I don't believe I have ever been to a UT home football game (and I've been to about 100) when I didn't see some drunk idiot getting into a fight, breaking something, or getting arrested. They were still Vols fans though weren’t they ? So it’s still a stain on the Vols for the way they acted . Same Same .
I saw the quote by the Mayor or whoever that was. He's probably in a position to know. Maybe even in a better position than the peanut gallery posting on here. This is what kills me about people like you. Maybe 120 were for breaking curfew or maybe for rioting. Why claim something you don't know?

I'm curious if all TN fans support this behavior. Most of them? Any of them?
Maybe they should just stop having UT home football games, it's obviously just a reason to get drunk, beat people, and destroy property.

The media completely ignores it for the most part.If the media gets a hold of these stories do they run them as .. UT game against Bama was mostly peaceful except for one or two idiots ? Some out of control students burnt mattress but it was mostly peaceful , one or two idiot college kids butt chugged some beer ? Ummm not on your life . They run it and it’s taken as the whole of UT fans and students do these things . This is political though and the left and the media is trying to down play its involvement in the riots because the polls are saying the country at large are tired of this crap happening .
