Bye Bye Louisville

Unless I’m missing something, it doesn’t seem fair to prosecute the officers. They were ordered to conduct a raid so they did. To me the blame exists with whoever at the top ordered this type of raid.

Their bosses and the elected officials that continue to allow this to happen are who should be held accountable.

Here's something I was wondering about as a genuine question. This happened at roughly 12:30am wasn't it? How many of those 11 people were awake at that point? Were any of them awake? Was this I didn't hear police announce themselves and I was awake and near my door where I would have heard it? Or was this I didn't hear police announce themselves because I was asleep?

When I think back to when I lived in an apartment, if I were asleep in my bedroom I wouldn't have heard anyone knocking on my neighbor's door. My room was in the back of the apartment and there was a wall and distance between me and the wall separating my apartment from the outside.

I'd imagine when Taylor's lawyer's asked did you hear police announce themselves and the answer was no, they quit asking more questions that would jeopardize that statement.
I imagine this is probably pretty accurate. And they found one person who was willing to admit they heard the announcement.

Yeah it's almost like the middle of the street is the wrong place to express your political views.

Yep. Protesting in the street seems like one of those play stupid games and win stupid prizes events. As I read it, the constitution doesn't give anyone the right to peacefully assemble in the streets, block commerce, trespass, or impede the free movement of others.

I am , and I believe we are all for the most part against no knock warrants . The risk reward factor is too great and this is the area where overreach of armed policing comes in . Everyone at your door that wants to come inside your home should have to announce themselves loudly so the home owner can hear them and their intentions . About me being law abiding .. I am for the most part other than small stuff , but I try my best to stay off of any armed groups radar good guys bad guys or bad bad guys like the feds ( lol ) . I do understand what you meant if they come to my door by accident but , I hope that is a situation that never happens . I would hope if it did I would be awake enough to understand them as they breach the door yelling that they are the police .

I'm still dead set against breaking and entering to serve a warrant or to make a search - announced or not. The resident gets to decide if and when to open the door.

I agree that sort of law enforcement should only be used to deal with extraordinarily dangerous targets. Also it endangers people within in the complex when you these ridiculous shootouts

As a blanket statement, I agree. But, there are reasons to bust down a door. (Sex trafficking, child endangerment, ect...)

I tend to agree in some instances like those; however, there's no assurance that raids will always go as planned and not put those in danger at greater risk. The "shock and awe" stuff in the middle of the night belongs to the military and not civil enforcement.

Ok did the police get shot at? Yes. Was Breonna with the person shooting. Yes. I’m not villifying her. Truth is truth

Being "with" someone isn't a crime you bootlicking brownshirt. They weren't committing any crimes when the three amigos kicked in the door to their home. I'm responsible for for my stray bullets, apparently cops live by a different set of laws.

What does Kiwi shoe wax taste like?

You'd think LEOs would want criminals very comfortable. Let their guard down. Go about their business and lives with little suspicion. Take them down when they drop in to Pollo Hermanos for a chicken sandwich, coming out with a full belly, a large Mt Dew in one hand and car keys in the other.

If @Rickyvol77 is our measuring stock, cops aren't very bright.
