Bye weeks cause trouble!

And I'm not even referring to our players. There is a ridiculous argument among #VolTwitter about changing the song between the 3rd and 4th quarter of a game from "Low Places" to about a million other options. I've never seen people get so upset over a song that is played 7 times a year. I mean seriously people.....find ANYTHING else to do with your time.
So your reaction is to cross-post it to Volnation to further fuel the conversation?

I don't disagree that people enjoy it from a participation standpoint at all. The participation numbers speak for themself. I think there's a much better use of that collective energy.

While I think Mr. Brightside isn't the best (not to say I know what is to be honest), I do think it's higher energy than Friends in Low Places would translate better.

Personally, I think the two keys are: (1) mass crowd participation; and (2) high energy. Friends in Low Places has the first, absolutely. But its energy doesn't exactly leave the crowd foaming or roaring at the end lol.
I'll admit that was the only thing that really impressed me about the Michigan experience; hearing 109k sing a song like that was impressive.

I dont understand why that song was chosen in the first place. Had no idea there was a debate about it going on regarding it.

If we are winning, we should play the Mortal Kombat theme song and everyone say "Finish them!"

If we are losing, "Jesus Take the Wheel"
Jk
Wisconsin plays “living on a prayer” if they are losing…after the iconic “Jump Around”

This bye week came at the perfect time for this team with the McCoy injury.

Bye weeks cause trouble!

Well Sh*t Fire son. You had me thinking this thread was about a player or players who just got themselves in trouble, not bout some dumbass song.

But, while we are on the subject - has any player been disciplined and or thrown off the team since the season started?????? If not, well, I don't want to jinx us but, we are on a roll! Keep up the good work coaches and kids - stay focused and someday you might wind up with a $10m NIL contract if, if you stay outta trouble.

Everytime I hear that I cough up a little bile remebering Lyle Jones and that era of ineptitude.

While we're at it, can we get rid of the PA Announcer "It's 3rd down"...it's pretty bad when you can hear over the TV broadcast.
Remember the “Sic em Smokey” ? And you would hear what sounded like Old yellar with rabies. That was bad/ not good.

To be fair, I went to the cocks game and it was like pulling teeth trying to get people around me to make some noise, so they likely recognize and feel that people need to be told it’s 3rd down so we have some type of home field advantage. Pathetic.

I’ll say it again….copperhead road touching off the fireworks one time at the 19 second mark on the kick drum. Hell, the song is references Knoxville.
I came on here specifically to mention Copperhead Road, but you beat me to it. Absolutely the best song choice! It’s about moonshining (which has roots in TN), everyone knows it, pushes other to get up with their beer cans and toast, and 101k people bellowing out that chorus…I got chills thinking about it!
