BYU vs Texas

What is it this year with teams that over the past several years were good, or at least, pretty good, disintegrating. SCAR & Texas. The coaches are supposed to be good, or great.

Is it they've got new assistants who can't do their jobs?

South Carolina lost 2 great d-linemen and their best corner, plus their quarterback, who was their leading rusher.

Texas, Nebraska, Tennesse

All historic programs on relatively long skids. If I'm not mistaken Nebraska struggled with a cupcake today. Ut(exas) and UT both got their with washed up coaches.

Not off to a Strong start in Austin
I gave Strong a hard time to get a rise, but he will get the program in order, once he gets enough of his players there. he has already kicked off 8 players that were a big part of last year's team. They didn't buy into Strong's vision for the program.

He also suspended both of his starting tackles before this game, and his center and qb were hurt last week, and didn't play tonight. I believe that Mack Brown treated the stars differently than others, and some of those stars weren't happy with the new regime, and got kicked off. Sounds like U.T. at the end of Fulmer's time, and the start of Kiffin.

There is dissension on the team now, and that will be taken care of.

On another note, I love watching Urban Meyer get embarrassed at home. I think we have enough sample size of his coaching career to conclude that unless he has an elite dual threat QB, he is a very average D1 coach. Amirite?

I think that's a safe assumption.

Gonna take him a while to get it going out there.

Lets be honest did we dodge a bullet or not with Charlie Strong thinking he for some unknown reason was above the real UT job.

Way to go,BYU! Way to take it to Texass. Charley Strong could lose his job very soon. The big money boosters at Texas never wanted him(They wanted the Baylor coach)and they want him gone.

After his record at Louisville, I am surprised that Chollie Strong's Texas team did not play better football against BYU. I guess it's not his team, yet. How many players has he suspended? Between the players and the alumni, the man walked into a bad mess.

How has Bronco Mendenhall not been hired away by a bigger school? Is he a super dedicated Mormon?

I think he has like 6 wives:bow2: JK, he seems to be a great coach. I wonder how he would do with that Texas Roster:question:

I think Bronco could do better at Texas than Charlie Strong. CS benefitted from easy schedules at Louisville
