Consider the press if we were to be able to say we got 2 top 10 OTs. Then AL's OT goes ahead of them, and they're just 2 top 100 guys so no press. What's the story repeated by ESPN? GA and AL. Crouch and Wright were 1 and 2 going into the season. That makes sense. Some of the posts made it sound like if they dropped a star they weren't as good anymore.
On the flip side of that though is that if we begin to win and these recruits that have been dropping in the rankings perform well, we can sell it as a testament to our coaches' ability.Consider the press if we were to be able to say we got 2 top 10 OTs. I think there is some merit to it being intentional. Rivals is selling a product and that product probably makes them more money when they push to publicize and rank kids that either pay to camp more often or commit to teams that are regularly headlining ESPN and other sports talk. That's true. Especially if they play early. It's just the whole thinking Rivals is doing it intentionally.
That appears to be the case.I think there is some merit to it being intentional.
