You guys are overreacting. It’s pretty obvious he was recruited over. That was probably what the communication on his trip to UA was. Pruitt telling him he didn’t have a spot.

Bama was clearly To’oto’o’s backup plan.

I raised the concern on the podcast last week that To'oto'o had talked openly about being intrigued by the idea "competing against the best everyday in practice" at Alabama. Ultimately, the Vols misread the situation here. They had optimism, enough so that they werent even sure To'oto'o would visit Alabama. Alas, he did. I'm told To'oto'o and his family spent a lot of time around the Tagovailoa's and that seemed to help dissuade any concerns with Lupoi no longer being there.

i hate this thread now. i went to lunch everything was fine.

came back and was like WTH? then Oh, ok, whew....then WTF?!

i don't even think there's going to be a point to watching or keeping up wiht signing day next week.

It is obvious this has a been a done deal for quite some time. I don't think there was anything Pruitt could have done. Frustrating, but that is just the way it is.

Win more games. At the end of the day, we're still 5-7 and Bama has been a powerhouse.

If UT starts to show improvement in the win column, beginning this year, we will start winning more of these battles.

What about the elite recruits they've already won before NSD, they not count whenever considering how elite a recruiter Pruitt is? Morris, Wright, Crouch...they not count, just because they had chosen Pruitt and Co before signing day?

Pruitt went head to head with Dabo and Harbaugh for Quavaris Crouch, he won. He went head to head with Harbaugh for Eric Gray, he won. He went head to head with Saban and Kirby for Darnell Wright, he won. He went head to head with Gus for Wanya Morris, he won. He went head to head with Saban and Kirby for JJ Petterson, he won. He went head to head with Kirby for Savion Williams, he won. He went head to head with Saban for D Wood-Anderson, he won. I can keep going.

Just because we miss on some on signing day, should not cancel out ALL the ones we won before signing day. Pruitt doesn't need to be "considered" an elite recruiter, because he IS an elite recruiter...and keep in mind, all those victories I mentioned above, and others I didn't mention, Pruitt was able to pull off against Dabo, Saban, Kirby, Harbaugh, Gus...not only having to recruit against those guys, but against a two-year 9-15 record, as well. If you don't "consider" Pruitt an elite recruiter already, then you're a hard son of a gun to impress.

Hopefully some of these guys start pulling their weight and start winning some of these battles. The addition of Tee should help, but Neids, Tee and Pruitt cant do it all.
