A mid-year enrollee can count against either the current academic year, 2018-2019, or the following academic year, 2019-2020. So if you consider, 2019 the current recruiting year, you could still back count against 2018.

15.5.6.3.2 Recruited Student-Athlete Entering After Fall Term, Aided in First Year. [FBS/FCS] A student-athlete recruited (per Bylaw 15.02.9) by the awarding institution who enters after the first term of the academic year and immediately receives institutional financial aid (based in any degree on athletics ability) shall be an initial counter for either the current academic year(which for an EE this year would be for the 2018 class not the 2019 class) (if the institutionโ€™s annual limit has not been reached) or the next academic year. The student-athlete shall be included in the institutionโ€™s total counter limit during the academic year in which the aid was first received. (Revised: 1/15/11 effective 8/1/11)

Thank you and exactly what I was talking about. And why UA is taking between 28-31 depending on which site.

I'd put Niedermeyer up in the nearest motel, hotel, hovel, shack, tent, whatever, that's closest to HT's house, and he'd there every single day until pen meets paper. Mike Cavan, asst coach on Vince Dooley's staff, moved into a cabin in Herschel Walker's hometown, and stayed there for months, to land Walker. I'd throw everything I had into this recruitment, leading up to Feb.

Texas and Oklahoma both sent coaches to live in a motel in Marcus Dupree's hometown.

They both unloaded a lot of money also. I think those days are gone. Coaches are allowed 1 contact a week, right?
I don't know the answer to that. I don't think there was a dead period then. Coaches would get the NLI signed in person for some of the recruits.

This guy and Bogle would be those sprinkles on top of the class assuming Wright signs... Wright will be the #1 target from here on out till the ink dries...

Today, it was just two guys... but it was a two HUGE direct difference-makers that gave us momentum into the rest of the recruiting process... people notice when you sign a 5-star within a week of resignation and a high 4-star that would have had an argument to #1 overall without an injury-plagued senior season...

Nieds bout to go to hyper-focus mode... let's see what he can do

with that rule there is absolutely 0 limit on recruits you can sign. You can always continue just borrowing into the future because you are always promised a next year with 25 commits.

If Alabama borrows 4 recruits and signs 29 they still have 46 spots over the next 2 years with 25 spots on deck for the year after.

Is Kevin Simon still playing a big role here? His name was constantly mentioned months ago about having a great relationship with this kid.
