'19 CA LB Henry To'oto'o (Tennessee Signee)

Everywhere I look shows tootoo going to al. They show 23 signed and 3 commits for total of 26. I thought 25 limit. How do they plan to pull this off?

RC is just a big picture position, lotsa responsibility and time demands. They can still recruit but you want your best recruiters on the road closing, not having their energy divided by big picture admin work.
You can hire off the field people to do the admin work

The over/under on how many times we have to go over the 25 signing limit in this thread has been set at 47.5.

We need a pinned explanation so we can avoid these over and over.

Good call. I'm going to write this up now, but first... how is Alabama going to sign over 25 players? :p

How about pointing me in right direction ill go find explanation with a little help. Or can you only be critical

It's natural for some to get tired of reiterating the same discussions and explanations that are already in multiple threads.

Seems like too many times people don't read here, but come around once in a while and ask for a personal executive briefing. Those requests add up, and you reap the benefit of the reactions.

So you can wait for someone with more patience to answer your question, or you can argue with the first one who criticizes you. I gotta say, IMO, the combination of a request for a personal briefing, combined with apparent anger at the first critic, seems unlikely to win friends and influence people.

I agree with VFL92, a pinned FAQ that includes this would be nice.

Basically, it’s a rule of 25, but it averages over years and there’s blue shirts, back-counting, early enrollees and probably a dozen other exceptions. Bottom line, don’t bother trying to figure out the math on your own. Listen to what the actual experts say. From most Bama voices, they can sign somewhere around 28-29 this year. And To’oto’o will have a spot if he wants it.

Thanks VFL 92 I know that's how it used to be with blue shirts averaging and so forth but I thought sec made new rule of 25 each yr. Sorry if I was wrong.

Every time I see all the varying opinions on what the exact number should be, and the discussion of the details, it makes me go cross-eyed. I look for a consensus to get me in the ball park, and just wait and watch to see what happens.

Sorry guys. I didn't mean to repeat a sore subject. Obviously I was wrong about new rule of 25. I Will listen to the experts and accept that they have room. With that being said, go get this guy. we have plenty of room for ya.

Nobody knows and generally someone is trying to explain it a page or 2 before whatever page yer on when you ask.

with that rule there is absolutely 0 limit on recruits you can sign. You can always continue just borrowing into the future because you are always promised a next year with 25 commits.

If Alabama borrows 4 recruits and signs 29 they still have 46 spots over the next 2 years with 25 spots on deck for the year after.

Aight, I know we've been over this dozens of times and people still give conflicting responses.

Per TS's post, which is what these few posts have been in response to,

an EE can count in 18 class if spots are available - "shall be an initial counter for either the current academic year(which for an EE this year would be for the 2018 class not the 2019 class) (if the institution’s annual limit has not been reached)"

or he can count in 19 class - "the next academic year" (which would be 19 class, the class we are now recruiting for)

So, based on this Bama, nor anyone else, can borrow into the future with EEs. Transfers are a different situation.

So could you explain about transfers please? Kennedy, a grad transfer, counts against 19. Solomon, a transfer, counts against...???

Does Bama have room....what kind of Voodoo math are they doing down in Bama? Just because you're 47th in education does not mean you get to do what you want.....ignorance is not a green light to do whatever.
