'19 CA LB Henry To'oto'o (Tennessee Signee)

Tidal, you don't think Shane Lee or anyone else you recruited it's going to start in 2020 it's only going to be Henry to
tl;dr -- To'oto'o would be the most likely, imo.

Bama has signed Shane Lee, who's 6-0.5/235 and real solid with a high football IQ, but not as fast or as good in pass coverage as To'oto'o. Bama has also signed Christian Harris, who's 6-1.5/235 and he played CB well in HS -- at that size! So he's a fast athletic freak but he's got a lot to learn about playing the ILB position at an SEC starter level.

Benton and Moody, who are on the roster, are solid depth guys. Kaho is a lot like To'oto'o and will have a year in the program by fall, so he'll probably take Wilson's starting spot along side Moses for 2019. So, To'oto'o seems most likely to be the one who'd take Moses starting spot for 2020. Moses became a true freshman starter later in the 2017 season due to both starters getting injured.

While CJP was at Bama he had slow played Kaho (losing him to Washington) for JJ Peterson and Walker. End result: Bama had to scramble just to get 3-star Moody. Bama got lucky because Kayo had to take a summer course to qualify at Wash., didn't enroll there and got released from his NLI. Bama circled back and got him in August. Due to early departures to the NFL, Bama needs to take three ILBs in this cycle.

A little more detail from the VQ

The Vols have an obvious need at MLB and Alabama remains the frontrunner here. Tennessee is set to get To’oto’o on campus in January, but the 4-star’s plans to announce at the Polynesian Bowl on Jan. 19 certainly complicate the timing for the Vols. Still, no signature will happen until February, so expect Kevin Sherrer, Brian Niedermeyer and Jeremy Pruitt to push for an OV from the California native.

You can only give 25 scholarships and you can’t back count a current year kid, example- you can’t back count a 2019 kid towards 2018 class. That’s all we’ve been saying. But it’s bama, so who knows...

Nope. You can count back if there's an available spot. Where do people get these ideas?

Callahan continues to say he will not annouce until signing day. We’ll see who’s right

If anyone is a Vq member, should ask mod to directly inquire with the Poly Bowl. They would know if there's a planned signing. Other sites claiming they arent aware of him signing there...seems vq is the odd man out here.
