‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

Talked to a source on Friday evening regarding five-star quarterback Nicholaus Iamaleava's visit to Tennessee this past weekend, and 247Sports was told the Vols "knocked it out of the park."
The source added a return visit is on the radar for April 9.

Tennessee is battling Oregon for Iamaleava. The Ducks were considered the favorite following a visit in January, but the Vols have always been a factor and 247Sports wrote going into the visit that the SEC program could change the narrative.

Another source says Iamaleava at one point was talking up Oregon to his peers but that's now shifted to the Vols.

Iamaleava raved about the visit to GoVols247 insider Ryan Callahan. He spoke highly about the SEC program even before his visit.

“I love the family environment (at Tennessee)," Iamaleava told 247Sports at the Battle 7v7 event in Miami. "The fans are great. Signed my first autograph there. That was cool. I’ve been in touch with Coach Heupel and Coach Halzle, it’s been a cool six months now. We’ve built a great relationship.”

Doesn't say anything about (not) being tied to a region/location. i.e. "Driving a provided Mercedes G-wagon in the Knoxville area x amount of time to fulfill contractual obligation to Knoxville-based Mercedes dealer." "Must be available in Knoxville area x amount of time for... contractual obligations to sponsor ..."

It would require that he be playing NCAA football, tied to the general area of UT, and prohibited from negotiating NIL deals with anyone else.

I could see this happening. Spyre is basically the sole "agent" for sponsorship negotiations, and their sponsors are in the Knoxville area...

So you think there is no way out of the contract ?
I didn't say that.

I said that if:
(a) He sold his NIL rights exclusively to Spyre, and
(b) the contract is tied to being on a NCAA football team
(c) while residing/living in the Knoxville area, then
(d) It makes the portal prohibitive if he wants to make future NIL money.

That was the point. Do you just need to argue, or is there some other reason that you take issue with those statements?
