Which is one reason I think we didn't go all-in with the deals etc for the 22 class. #1, we had the NCAA crap hanging over our heads and we couldn't afford to screw up. #2, I think we understood that we weren't going to be in play for the bigtime 22 players anyway, so we took time to digest all of the ins and outs of the system to be ready to hit the ground running for 23 and beyond. Based on the last month or so, I might have been right or just lucky in my assessment. Either way, we got Nico and the naysayers can all pound sand.

We signed them to a NIL deal. They're on our side now.

I don't think there has been any public statement one way or another. The way it has been reported has been we were basically self-imposing scholarship reductions for the 21-22 school year. Many believe that is one reason why we were so quiet with the portal during this last cycle. The expectation was to ramp up portal activity after Spring practice headed into the Fall semester to bring our numbers back up. In reality, that has been pure speculation. Based off our actions in the last few weeks and CJH saying he hoped to be more active in the portal over the summer, I think that theory is fairly accurate. Time will tell, I guess.

Not a lawyer so idk about legal, but showing your client’s confidential contract even getting guaranteed anonymity of the two parties sure doesn’t seem ethical.

Every time the article’s been referenced on social media, he or his family have virtually winked at it. May be a victimization without victims. Just the $350k buys a lot of therapy from the trauma of being considered a big balla.
