Actually, newb... The "likes" function came around a long time after some folks started posting.

It's just a numbers game, you're expected to lose a significant majority when there are multiple top competitors.

It reminds me of when you have 10 different fanbases all berating their team for not winning it every other year...it can't work like that. It just can't.

I dunno the math on that, but id like to get back to recruiting classes that don't consist of four 4* and fifteen 3* and our fanbase expecting every 3 star to be a diamond in the rough or our staff to develope them. Granted, Heupel will get more out of those types of players, we've still got to recruit better.


Ive heard the "If he's good enough for Dooley, Butch, and Pruitt, then he's good enough for me" argument for far too long.

With all that said, I'm not bashing Heupel. I believe he's the right guy and I was one of a few trying to convince the doubters when he was hired, but he's got to get the Jimmy's and Joe's. 1 Joe (Nico) does not a class make. Heck, it's still early, I still have high hopes we finish with a very strong class.

Point is, we've always had high caliber players interested in UT. While I'm sure Nico does have an impact on some guys, along with Hypes offense. One can't say that Nico is the sole responsibility for the guys interested in us now. That's all I was trying to say.

You're one of those types, huh? Dude, just stop. I've been here longer than the like feature and on top of that, I, along with many others, lost a ton of our likes and post count when Freak updated the board awhile back.

The fact remains. UT has always been in on big recruits. More times than not, they have us in their top 3-5. It's been this way for the better part of 2 decades. We just haven't been able to close. With a name like yours, you'd think you'd be completely aware of that.

If you are top 5 for ten players, 8 of them will pick another school. For some reason, folks don't seem to get that top 5 or top 3 still means you probably won't get them.
