‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

Probably transfer eligibility issues, with an option to continue playing at Warren. . .

Could be Powell's new QB. . . 😆

Be interesting if he could get eligible on a roster and pull some elite offensive talent with him. What’s eligibility like on teams like IMG?

Great. UT gets a 5 star stud QB prospect to commit who seems really dialed into being a Vol, and now I have to keep my cup on worrying about whether or not he will be eligible. We can't have nice things.

I wouldn't care if he was ineligible and sat out his senior year.
He doesn't have a ton of experience in actual 11 on 11 competition, does he? 13 career games, or something? I'd really prefer he play and get more real game experience. He excels in 7v7 atmospheres, but I'd like to see him get more live action with real bullets being fired at him.

I hear ya on one hand. He could keep himself from injury, etc. On the other hand, my BVS might kick in and I will believe that Nico will put on 80 pounds by not playing and decide to give football up altogether. :D:D

Doubt that is realistic, but just for the sake of argument. To miss Spring, miss at least most of summer camp, just to come here and run scout team for a year... Not ideal
Actually. Sounds pretty good for us. Better than nothing, no risk of injury, starts the S&C early, gets to watch and absorb… was he gonna start next year anyway, doubt it. Maybe now…🤷🏻‍♂️

I would. He hasn’t been playing football his whole life like guys like Manning and Nelson. I think Nico needs all the playing time he can get. Besides, one more year of football just means he will get more experience and get better.
