Cal, Auburn, and Vols all in NIT?

I agree being a young team in a new system they need a lot of games and reps but do you think it's a good idea if not one player on the team is interested or cares about winning a game in the nit?

If not one player cares then the coach has lost the team. That smells of Tyler Bray in 2011.

Do people like you think it's a coincidence the sec looks lackluster and loses a lot of bcs bowl games that don't matter? But the sec always seems to win the opening games of the year against the same caliber non conference big boys. Fans don't understand that bowl games and nit games are meaningless to the players. Naive fans are most of them.
That really takes the cake. Evidently you never saw or heard the coaches' and the team's reaction when they were selected for the Gator (Taxslayer) Bowl.Talk about naivety!

Not saying I'm right. Just wondering what other people think. Cause if you let the team pick they'd be unanimous in not playing.

Then why would they ever participate in a summer league? The NIT is an opportunity to play in a tournament with your teammates.

The players perspective is dang they are making us play in this lame tournament against lame teams infront of no crowd in an empty arena. They just go through the motions. I don't think we get better by making our players play in games they could care less about.

I'm more or less talking about winning programs. Not teams that celebrate going 6-6 and going to a bowl.

Kuonzo lost another yesterday , so the dream matchup in the NIT is looking more possible

For a guy that tries to slander and belittle those that like the man, you sure do bring him up a lot. I can't tell you the last time I, BTO, or any other person other than you brought Martin up. I'm beginning to think you have a secret love for him that you're ashamed of for whatever reason. Like homophobia.

You notice Cal in the thread title ? Seemed like a place to discuss it.

I could see Tennessee having to go on the road in the NIT to play Old Dominion who's predicted in my NIT Bracketology to be a #3 seed.

I've been consistently all in for TN getting an NIT invitation, accepting it, and hopefully winning the tournament. However even I think that "NIT Bracketology" is over the top.
