Caleb Williams Heisman winner.

I was not aware of that, but do you believe he was the best player of 2022? Anyone else?
I think Williams was deserving of the heisman. I also think Hooker might have been deserving had he not gotten injured. Who knows? Hooker should absolutely have been invited to the ceremony. Stroud was deserving of recognition in the voting also. Probably a few more I’m not thinking of

I understand your rant and support it. But USC has never made the playoff….right? And it’s been awhile since they dominated the PAC-12.

Not to worry, they aren’t making it this season either. Washington or Oregon might though. Who knows?
I don't believe that the Trojans can make the playoffs this year. My remarks were more directed at the fact they are even considered. Last year they were in competition with Tenn before we lost to the gamecocks, and before they lost to the Utets twice. My rant was more about Caleb winning the Heisman. The pac 12 is dying right? I just think a Heisman winner should play on a good team.

I questioned Caleb winning last year. Judging by the responses I was wrong. I stand corrected and confused. Don't understand but I clearly will accept your opinions

I admit my personal opinion about Caleb Williams Heisman trophy win was wrong. I would ask why I was wrong, I understand statistics but can you measure that with teams they played last year. This year his team will probably be be not ranked.

Caleb is 7th right now in the Heisman chase. Don't understand all the hype. Still think Hooker deserved a shot last year. Sorry I have such a controversial view point. November I have the Vols one game out.

Why does a conference that beats one ranked team #12 notre Dame get the Heisman trophy. Just asking for a friend
Because it is not a trophy for the conference. It is an individual trophy. SEC has had a lot of Heisman trophy winners over the years so I don’t buy the bias argument.

Strongly disagree on generational talent. He is a talented player, but has been piss poor against decent defenses. Saw a post on reddit earlier this week that gave some stats. Prior to today, he has played 5 games against P5 top 25 defenses. 4 of those games were terrible (0, 1, 1, 1 TD vs 2, 1, 0, 3 INT), one was pretty good ('21 Ok St, 20-39 3TDs). That's it, 5 decent defenses in his entire college career prior to today. He's a slightly more athletic Spencer Rattler. Absolutely laughable to consider him a generational talent.
I appreciate you bringing stats/facts to the table rather than what many on this board would do, and just say the last sentence haha.

Caleb Williams remains the #1 draft pick in most projections. He's a really good QB, not generational, but he's really good and brings a whole lot to the table as a QB.

Personally, I think Penix will pan out better in the NFL. I think he's got that "extra gear" for clutch situations that will work for him in the NFL.

That kid, Drake Maye? at North Carolina is also a solid QB. Just steady and professional looking.

I'd draft Penix, then Maye, then Williams when it comes to QBs but all of them will go very early in the draft. Projections disagree with me...... but I don't care.

Caleb Williams was a WTF option for Heisman last year. It was literally out in left field pick. I felt like Stetson Bennett or CJ Stroud were more likely picks for it. I knew Hooker was out after South Carolina unfortunately...
