Caleb Williams Heisman winner.

Honestly as far as non QBs go, I think M. Nabors and Luther Burden both have a shot. Not many talking about J. Daniels on the QB side it seems. He has a shot if LSU starts ballin.

Caleb Williams is a generational talent who put up insane stats last year. I don’t like the guy and hope he fails but come on, watch the dude play. It’s unreal. 42 TD and 5 INTs last year plus the plays…

Again, don’t like him. But you haven’t seen him play enough or you don’t know what you’re looking at if you’re just worried about the talent he’s played.
You do realize those stats are based off playing in a conference that doesn’t understand the concept of a defense right?

Caleb Williams status as a Heisman Trophy contender is based on one thing and one thing alone. It’s the same reason notre dame is a supposed contender for the national championship every year. That reason is called “money”
If notre dame isn’t hyped by nbc they’ll lose advertising revenue, if espn doesn’t hype them they also lose out on revenue from the Midwest market. The same for the pac 12 or however many they are now, there has to be “something” to promote in order to get people to watch their so called conference hence the hype about Williams. It’s money folks……money

I really don't care who wins it, all I'll say is that the best QB in college football is Bo Nix. Any discussion of the Heisman that doesn't include Bo is just bogus.
well he did lose to Penix.....and that last drive by Washington was 90% Penix being the best player in the stadium.

Totally disagree. Oregon certainly lost that game thanks to a missed field goal, not the result of QB play. Nix didn't lose to the taildraggers, the Ducks lost to the taildraggers. The taildraggers want nothing to do with a rematch. Not saying Penix isn't great, he's just not the best QB on the field when playing Oregon. Don't get me wrong, Penix is very good with great receivers.

I'd go with MHjr...... I've never heard of game planning around a WR, and he still catches the ball with double teams, even holding calls...He is just that good.

Nix was 33/44 for 337 and 2 TDs. 10 yards per completion.
Penix was 22/37 for 302, 4 TDs, and 1 int. 13 yards per completion.

Oregon had 4 TDs, Nix was responsible for 2 of them.
Washinton had 5 TD, Penix responsible for 4 of them. Penix even passed for their 2pt conversion on the 1 TD he wasn't responsible for.

Penix's 4 TDs went to 3 different WRs, so its not like it was one WR ripping Oregon open, Penix was able to spread it around.

Nix wasn't able to keep the drive going that gave Washington a chance, Nix had 3x as long as Penix had to come up with the missed FG.

Oregon's pass defense is MUCH better than Washington's. 41 vs 116, so Penix had better stats, scored more points, and won, against MUCH better competition than Nix faced.

No one wants a rematch. its one of the truest idioms in the game that its difficult to beat a team twice in the same year. There is no stat that favors Nix, except the one INT. When it mattered most Penix showed up and Nix didn't. I am really not sure how you are going to argue Nix was the better QB that day.

Penix has 600 yards more passing while completing 3 fewer passes. Penix has 3 more TDs, and 5 more INTs. that really seems to be the ONLY metric Penix is worse, INTs. but he produces more than enough to offset that.

Nix is good, but Penix is better.

While I agree on the Day, Bo Nix is a better qb and Washington is really lucky that was a home game. But you are right that NO teams wants to play a team they have beaten twice

He isn't generational. He plays in a conference that doesn't believe in playing defense most Saturday's. He ran like a little pre teen with his head coach because they wanted no part in scheming against a real defense. Sorry C Williams will be a flop in the NFL and didn't want to get exposed by the big boys.

Disagree, his wr's are better. Resulting in more yards and TD's. He is a very good qb but it takes two to tango. Both are really good

and Oregon's WRs are pretty darn good.

Troy Franklin is at least as good as anyone Washington has.

Squirel, our best WR, would be neck and neck for 2/3 depending on which stat line you wanted to favor for Oregon's WRs.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but the PAC 12 may be the best conference. By the end of the year, USC will have played 3 current top 11 scoring defenses, 4 top 25, and 6 top 36.
