And anyone who disagrees is a misogynist who hates women. Their body their choice. Legalizing prostitution is yet another step in the long arduous Feminist journey toward freedom from the patriarchy. I for one would be proud if either of my 2 daughters engaged in such a liberating profession.

Human trafficking is now used in every prostitution article to try and sway opinion. The ability of them to keep it illegal likely does more harm to the trafficking. Business agreements between consenting adults should not be banned by the govt

If men were angels quote would be a good place to start. Also, prostitution has effects and consequences for those outside of the 2 making the supposed consensual agreement. Define a consenting adult does that include a minor who was groomed before becoming whatever you define to be an adult?

Consenting adult is pretty much understood and already defined. Just take the most widely accepted definition you're aware of and apply it here. No need to entertain extremely rare hypotheticals

"But what about the family???" Lots of things currently legal affect others. That's still under control by those making the decision to engage in the transaction. The govt should not be involved in adults making a business agreement. I have heard no good reasons to change my mind on that

There's nothing making the actual sex act illegal and consenting adults can do it for free anytime they want. Only way to make it criminal is to exchange money. That doesn't seem odd?

Not just the family but society in general. This is no different than gay marriage when it comes to that.

What type of woman is drawn to this and why?

So a consenting adult that was groomed by their now John, that is ok? Consenting adult definition can and will change because the drawn line never stops moving and when the time comes to move it you will of course be happy to capitulate.

Gay marriage? You're one of those I see

Adults can still have sex with whomever they choose and there are no limits placed on that by govt. That does not change and can have the exact same negative effects. Why does the exchange of money suddenly change the act into an illegal one? Because that's the only difference

Gov. Gavin Newsom has called for a federal investigation into the wholesale price of natural gas, asking the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to look into "whether market manipulation, anti-competitive behavior or other anomalous activities are driving these ongoing elevated prices" in the West.
