It's called trash talk because it is talk coming from trash. I don't see it much on the PGA Tour.Call me old fashioned, but I would love to see the NCAA and the SEC in particular, crack down on trash talking. There is plenty of emotion in competitive golf. The players just control it. Competition is competition. People want to win.Golf isn't nearly as emotional of a game either. Trying to compare the two is silly. Where there is intense physical competition there will be intense mental competition as well. Taking the emotion out of the game is ruining it.
