Calm Down: This is a Very Good Team

Pretty much owned Florida in the Swamp but for some fixable mistakes.

More offensive yards and 1st downs than Michigan got.
Hoke's DLine much improved.
Kelly a beast.
QD very good with time to throw.
Strength and conditioning impressive -- UF was worn out.

I like 10-3.

PS. Stop talking about firing people (unless they throw on 1st and goal from the 1 again #petecarroll).

Hhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Of course everybody is mad.
Vol fans regard Gators as a temporary nuisance that just won't leave the party.
They're always a good early test for us.
This game will be forgotten in short order.

While some will realize this is true - those who are always ready to pounce will pounce.

But we will have to put up with this until we beat UGA in two weeks then folks will calm down.

...and when we get beat at home by Georgia....what excuse will you have then? Or will you finally realize the truth?

We just lost to a team that has not had real live game situations in two weeks, have had to relocate, had a hurricane go through their school, has 9 players on the bench, and went almost 8 quarters without an offensive TD (hint: they got two on us in one game).

A "pretty bad team" that just put up 442 yds vs a UF defense in the Swamp and lost on a few mistakes, missed kicks, and a Hail Mary?

UT should have won. They didn't. They outplayed UF pretty badly on both sides of the ball. They outplayed UF MORE so than Michigan did.

You can't kill drives with INT's, missed assignments, dropped passes, penalties...

pretty good summary 18 but honestly poor play calling in the red zone lost this game

You will be one 2-3 hardcore Church of Butch members still defending him right up until the moment Currie fires him. Your blind support is both admirable and terrifying in equal proportions.

Butch is just a mid major coach. 5 years in and I understand. Not going negative, but with the talent pool we have we should beat teams like this FLA team. They are not good and we have them every opp to win that game, and they did.

Other than running the ball on 1st and goal from the 1, I'm not sure what the coaching staff could have done differently today.

And nobody has offered anything of substance.

You can like 10-3 but it will not be that more like 6-7.

This is why TN will never get above mediocre

Fans willing to make excuses for bad coaching by bad coaches

If we get past Alabama at 5-2 (probable), we're home free for a major bowl.

To quote John McEnroe, "You cannot be serious!"

Have you actually WATCHED any UT football this year? Have you WATCHED it any since Jones was hired?

All that said, you really see us being 5-1 when we play Bama?

Dude, lay off the 'shine.

What's this week's excuse for Butch? Are we blaming Shoop or Scott to deflect from the HC. Are we attacking the players again while defending the coach? Seriously, what is this week's excuse for Butch getting no blame for us being totally unprepared?

This is a good analysis... Florida was seriously gassed. Really tired of finding new was to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Seriously....I agree we have some talent but the bad coaching will continue trump the good talent. This was as bad of a Florida team as you will ever see.
