He is an instant success even better than Sam Bradford last yr. So, Tebow's backup at UF is 10x better than he is. Makes you go hmmmmmmmm.

He just shredded the Super Bowl champs D for over 400 yards. Overrated? Really?

That said. He's 0-2

In what way is a rookie with over 800 yards passing in his first two games "overrated?" I haven't seen him mentioned in the likes of Brees, Manning, Brady, Rodgers etc. and if I did, I'd definitely agree that he was being overrated. All I've heard analysts and other people say is that they like the way he carries himself and can see his potential...

He threw three picks... Still defies logic, though. He never looked like an outstanding passer in college, but for whatever reason, his teammates will give that extra 10% and not do that for jimmy or delhomme or whoever else.

pretty much all that needs to be said IMO

You also have to take into account that this team has a horrible WR corps and the run game has been struggling this season, along with a below average D. Cam has been our best player, sadly...

it's not hate it's just the facts. He can throw for hundreds of yards but it really all for naught if they don't win games

what perspective? He's doing well on a terrible team and should be talked about every minute when discussing NFL football. No need to talk about those teams winning and who looks like a contender for the title. Nope just talk about an 0-2 rookie QB

He's thrown for over 800 yards in his first two games starting in the NFL. Not sure how it isn't a big story, even though a lot of other portions of the team suck right now.

Also, I'm not seeing where the Patriots, Jets, Ravens, Steelers, Saints etc. etc. etc. aren't being mentioned and Cam is being over-mentioned. That's just simply not true...

On 46 attempts. It's only a 6.5% INT rate (which puts him at 4.8% for the year). Manning did 5% his rookie year. Mark Sanchez 5.5%. Josh Freeman 6.2%. Etc.

He hasn't won yet, but dude can play. Aaron Rodgers has 2 career 400 yard games. So does Cam Newton.

I've been perplexed at the haters since he blew up last fall. We've never seen anything like the guy. Not even VY. I don't know why people thought he was going to bust.

BTW, I'd say he was a pretty damn good passer in college. Highest passer rating ever by a QB from a BCS conference (including pre-BCS), extremely high completion %, etc.
