I came to post this same thing LOL! Probably a great day for Cam Robinson ... at least he won't have to get abused by CV again. LOL.
But, on a more serious note ... read no orange glasses. Count me in crowd that sees this as a terrible situation that happened to a young man. Yes, I know he apparently "possessed a stolen gun". But, as far as I can tell, he did absolutely NOTHING with this gun that would threaten anyone whatsoever. Did he KNOW that this particular gun was stolen before he bought it? No, probably. If it weren't stolen, does that make the weapon somehow more dangerous to the citizenry? Not as far as my knowledge of weapons goes.
Remember, we live in the greatest nation in the world (IMO). A nation built on founding principles unlike ANYTHING ever seen on a national scale anywhere in human history. One of those great and rare principles is the freedom of individual citizens to bear arms for self protection against crime, as well as resistance to tyranny (God forbid).
If Cam Robinson has shown himself to be a stable and faithful citizen and feels the need to own and posses a weapon ... Then More Power to Him IMO. AFAIK, he's never acted in a felonious or mentally unstable manner (outside committing to Bama). Therefore, carry on young man.
I know that he should have been aware of the new regulations that are being hung on the 2nd amendment. But, I also believe that probably 95%+ of college students nationwide have no idea about the various local laws etc.
I'm not against Cam Robinson here unless he participated in theft of said weapon or knew that it had been stolen when he bought it. If he was not aware, then he s no different than anyone buying an iPod at a Pawn Shop IMO. I'm not against him for not registering his 2nd amendment rights with the State in any way. I'm not against the NY Giants Wide Reciever (except for some stupidity in weapons handling) and I'm still not against Tyler Smith for having protection in his car. Not an ounce.

Sorry if posted already, but Saban doesn't sound like he is ready to dismiss these two without proper "evidence." Can't make this stuff up folks.
Nick Saban discusses Cam Robinson situation with Paul Finebaum
Outstanding post my friend, and 100 percent correct. If Cam Didn't steal this firearm then I feel very sorry for him and hope he can still have a great life after all is said and done.
You feel sorry for him? Really? I am all in for the right to bear arms but that doesn't mean I can throw judgement out the window and not think about where the gun that I am carrying came from. That goes for anybody. If you are going carry a gun on you, know what you are carrying.
If a "friend" sold him the weapon and he mistakenly trusted the seller, then yes, that sucks for him.
If he was the one that stole it, then all bets are off and he needs jail time. My post was speculation that he didn't steal it and simply trusted the wrong person.
