Cameron Carr Transferring

IMO this is the downside of bringing in seasoned transfers and giving them major roles. The young guys that have been here for years aren't gonna like it. He probably thought he'd be a key player in his 2nd year maybe even a starter and still wasn't getting more than a handful of minutes. Not really surprised. Disappointed.

Santi Vescovi and Jarnell Stokes

Santi first popped up on the radar in late October and committed in late November. I ask this honestly, because I do not have any insight whatsoever, is there any potential that Barnes and Co. have been scouting potential mid-year enrollees under the radar that could make a move in the next two weeks (clearly a less forgiving window than 2019 with Vescovi)? I don't think there's any chance that Evans can somehow graduate high school tomorrow, unless I am completely mistaken and he's in some weird limbo program.

I could understand that mindset if he just wasn’t playing because he lost his role to someone better, but he had a freak injury that has cost him time. He was poised for a big role this year, likely between 15-20 minutes a game if he had stayed healthy. He basically quit on his team because he didn’t like his role that was no one’s fault other than fate.

Idk. He was averaging 10 min a game before the Injury. Against teams we whipped where there should have been garbage time minutes too.

and Estrella going out didn’t change his minute distribution imo.

I think this is a loss of depth, for sure. But I don’t really subscribe that he was going to play anywhere near 20 min a game in the SEC unless somebody else goes down

I guess I was accounting for growth in the non-conference slate. I don’t think his skill set was a static thing. I think he would have improved with the extra playing time and probably would have seen around 15 MPG, maybe a bit more.

This. Sucks.

I imagine he makes the move now rather than at year's end to preserve his shot at a medical redshirt, but man...playing time wasn't going to be an issue if he stuck it out. This seems incredibly selfish.

Maybe he's just gonna train for the draft being a future lottery pick and all. 🙄

So who is even available this time of year? I’m sure Barnes will find a good player if he needs to. Just not sure what’s available to us…
