Simms fit's Kiffin style of offense better than Newton... Simms come here I don't think he has a problem beating out Stephens

So a guy like Stephens who hasn't even be able to beat out Crompton at his worst will be able to beat out two Kiffin recruits? What I think will happen is that Bray will RS and Kiffin will let Simms be our starting quarterback for at least this next season and have him and Bray battle it out for the following season.

He will beat out Bray simply by showing up. He may not beat out Stephens though. Stephens' arm is legit. If he can put the rest together he could be good. Big if, but look what CLK has done with Crompton the past two games and he's had longer to work with Stephens. JMO.

This......

I heard this on the radio too. Mathews couldn't even remember his name. Doug Mathews is not a credible source for anything.

But, Sab, there seems be a strong sentiment that Stephens does not work. So, I can't see how CLK would even consider him unless NS fixes that first.

Btw.. if this news about Newton is true, I'm guessing Eric will be pumped.

Really think so?

You are probably right with Stephen's next year though.

Exactly. It's going to take NS giving up his attitude and allowing the coaching staff to do their jobs with him for him to succeed with this staff. If he doesn't do that, I think he will transfer after Spring Ball if he doesn't beat out at least one of the guys.

I'm glad it's over. We had some epic discussions though on him.

All he was waiting on was to see if UT would offer. I've said this many times.

Pretty clear indication he found out UT is going with Simms.

You would think people would listen when Sab speaks..
I think that Simms might commit soon after the game tomorrow, depending how we do!
Go VOLS!

That could be the case. I know it's been suggested, but I don't believe it until I hear something from someone credible. Could just be a lot of noise created by fans that can't understand why he can't beat JC out.

What is this staff thinking!! The must not want to win! God I knew we shouldn't have went with Kiffin.. He has been nothing but trouble since he's been here! What a disgrace to the program! Al davis was right.. And I can't beleive you people can't see that...

Actually, Larry posted it here a couple of weeks ago.

Yep... I trust the coaches, of course, on their decision. The more theirs agree with yours, the more creds you get from my vantage point. Good call!

I formed my opinion based on several conversations I had with different people. All in all, it was inevitable because Newton is a project for a PS offense. If he wasn't, he would have went somewhere the first time that had a PS offense. All of this, of course, is my opinion. E-cred is not something I am looking for though, I am just glad that I am forming better opinions than I used to based on the coaches decisions I have seen. I want to be accurate more than anything really. I does feel good to be right though. :)

That sounds eerily familiar, but somehow, much more believable at this point! :p

Wow.

We'll have to wait until Cam is drafted now to see whether or not he fits into a pro-style system. He's going to tear it up at MSU though. You watch.

I agree he will do well and said as much too during our epic conversations on here. It's where he belongs honestly.

i hope you're right, they need it. both my parents went to state so i've grown up with them being my second favorite team. i hardly would call myself a MSU fan, but i like to see them be successful. or at least not so unsuccessful.
